She picks up the wailing puppy and quickly flees to the cargo hold. "It's ok... Calm down... Please calm down..." She fearfully tries to quiet the puppy, tears silently welling up in her own eyes. He lay on the ground for a brief moment before getting up again, a bit startled but unharmed. God, the shadow creature cried loud. He held his ears, hoping Kate could make it stop. Noctimus showed no signs of quieting down, and he doubted how much longer Kate could bear its sobs. He took a breath, steeled his nerves, and ran towards Kate. Now standing below her, he found he couldn't quite reach Noctimus; instead of waiting for it to be put down, though, he climbed up Kate, latching onto and hanging from her arm. From there, he could... I dunno, to me this just keeps looking more and more like a hyper-violent wilderness daycare center. Trevor, Kate and Noctimus are the really little kids who cry over everything, Jaw is the big doofus with a big heart, Wheke is the guy who thinks he's awesome but really isn't, Wiffleball is everyone's favorite toy, Famen is that kid with crazy wood block skills, Dragon is the actually awesome one who just sits around being chill, Gilda is the college intern who started out just doing this as extra credit but ended up getting really into it, and Meritursas is the lead counselor who tries to get stuff done but can't because of all the screaming kids. ...
