So when is the New update coming out? I've heard the caves WITH ruins are going to be included but isn't it okay we just get the caves first? Klei is working on DST for free, implementing caves & ruins for free and after that, we will be able to get the upcoming extension Through the Ages, then again, for free. I know it could be frustrating to wait something and see that something be delayed. But don't forget that Klei is a small team working hard to give us the game we all want. I think they're just overwhelmed by a lot of features to integrate and balance, to get a really smooth experience in multiplayer. Klei never disappointed us, we just have to give the time necessary to complete their job. A lot of players got the game for free here, because the base is players of don't starve (and they got a free copy of DST).But now the game isn't free, and it's still in EA : so it will be released a day, and players will buy it like any other game.So Klei don't work in DST for free, some players buy the game and (we could hope it for them), lot more players will buy the game in the future. But, yes, they add free content, like the RoG extension (was not free in DS, is free in DST). Cave is free in DS, but it's still good that it's free here too. And yes, Through the Ages will add new free content. But the base game isn't exactly "free", even if it was for the greatest part of the players. Well, they're late. But they keep us updated with live stream on the forum, the road map isn't updated. They are plenty information on the forum talking about caves and ruins. But now the game isn't free, and it's still in EA : so it will be released a day, and players will buy it like any other game. So Klei don't work in DST for free, some players buy the game and (we could hope it for them), lot more players will buy the game in the future. The price of Don't Starve is still untouched, because DST is still in EA. People would have paid the same amount for Don't Starve. Here and now, we all buy the game before the upcoming release of DST. What I'm saying is that this is not a DLC, this is not a "new game". And I'm very happy about that, because when you see the habits of big companies and AAA games, you start to enjoy the most humble and generous indie dev like Klei. I understand what you're saying, but remember the low price of the game, compare it to the quality of the game, the dedication of developpers. I'm a dev myself, so maybe I'm more aware of that, or maybe I'm just taking the side of my "colleagues". (But it's not exactly "free")So there is (and there will be) people buying only DST now, and DST isn't free for them. I love how klei give free access to DST for DS owner (until june ?) and majority of players got the game for free. But it's a new game, with a price, and people buy and will continue to buy it. It's important to remember that for some players, DST is a game they payed for. Or a game they tell a friend to buy to be able to play with. And they could have different expectations because for them, they aren't in the "it's free content for a free game" perspective we have. But, yes, i agree with you : klei do an excellent job, they are very generous (RoG extension for free), they add contents, they are working. They aren't just put the DS base game in DST and sell it, and seel the other content as DLC. So, yes, they are doing a really great job. And the cave are late but the "two world" part was really a hard part, and it allow so much things for the future. Especially for mod. It was like a great gap but now there is a solid and pretty bridge and they will be able to continue the road, and lead us to news greats things. So, yes, i thank them.
