Shipwrecked boss ideas

Recommended Posts

Figured it'd be fun to trade ideas for bosses to be represented in the new Shipwrecked expansion.

I'm thinking: the Croken.  A crocodile's head and perhaps forelimbs, seguing into a mass of angry tentacles.  Generates during hurricane season (or perhaps at some other signal), seeks out ships to wreck and sea-based rock (or rocklike) protrusions to shatter (wasting their loot).  Drops could vary - perhaps croken hide or the like can be used to create an Elite Crock Pot?  There've been worse pun justifications.

Anyone else got fun Shipwrecked boss ideas?

I would like more plant-based creatures in general. Ones that aren't forest guards. Love them, but they're not that interesting without variation and that variation currently only exists in the form of the lureplant. Maybe something like a a jellyfish/water lily combo as boss? Or a creature using the vacuum skill of bladderworts?

(Jk lol)

A Seel. Or maybe a Seelion? A combination of an eel and a seal, or specificly a sea lion seal. Just slap on a couple extra eyes or a periscope for extra seeing effect. Maybe a distant cousin of mactusk that drives a submarine and fires electricly charged harpoons or lightning.

Also I'd like to see bipedal horse companions that can follow you to the water and sprout a seahorse tail so they can come with you when you get onto a boat. It would be creepy and great

I would like something more original not like the words games RoG bosses, instead of that more like the deerclops, I mean, the RoG bosses are amazing but... Goose/Moose, really?, the first time that I saw the deerclops I feel the same as when I saw pyramid head in Silent hill, Glados in Portal or Gong in Patapon, something evil and potentially dangerous, but that Moose thing was just like: "this is a boss?".

Now, the tropical biome and all the ocean and beach stuff has much potential to something pretty awesome and scary, I don't mean something like the screecher, not scary in that way, I mean scary like a boss in darksouls or the thank in L4D that forces you to think quick between fight or flight.

I don't have good ideas, maybe something with tentacles and crab tongs
