Chocofreak13 Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 if this is the section we report glitches in, then super! if not, i hope my post can be moved by a mod. last time i played DST was with my boyfriend, roughly a month ago. no issues, though we were using LAN then. beforehand, though, there were still no issues. maybe a minor hiccup or two, but nothing that lasted more than a few seconds. tonight, we decided to make some time together and play some more. neither of us were aware of the update at the time so we just proceeded as normal. typically, he makes the servers, since he has a pretty beefy rig compared to mine (16gb RAM desktop with gaming-specific graphics card and 1tb of HDD space; i have a semi-cheapy craptop (not THAT bad) with about 4gb of RAM and a graphics card that wasn't even on Klei's list. and before you say anything, it's worked fine up till now, on two different HDDs (one failed), so that isn't the issue). this time, however, he couldn't get it to load at all. it wouldn't even get to the world gen screen before it would freeze. he tried this three times before we gave up and decided to have me try making the server.now, the one fault with his setup is the connection. he doesn't live in the main part of the house he lives at, rather in an out building, so he's forced to use a USB dongle for an internet connection. (pretty sure he has a wireless card and just uses the dongle to signal boost). so when things started going weird, i just figured it was his connection. but his ping was just fine.reading up on it, i expected the 'bad host' tag on my name as the server. it's my hardware doing that. what was the issue, however, was that (while it worked okay for me, mostly), there was such severe lag on his end that he couldn't even play. mine glitched a little with the movement towards the start, but was at least playable. he couldn't even move. we hadn't seen this since when we first started playing the game earlier this year.after i logged out and tried to get him to try again to make the server, i started getting the same problems as him. when i tried to log back into the server, it wouldn't make it past the loading screen and would freeze. trying to create a new world would result in the same issue. since this has happened twice on two different computers with vastly different connections and specs, it's likely not us, it's Klei or Steam. we restarted the game several times (man does it take a lot of memory!), and each time the problem was duplicated. i'd screencap, but well, there's not much more to show than what i described.is anyone else having issues like this? is this a glitch to be fixed? is this REALLY the right place to post this? tune in next post and find out! When we set up our server, we had no idea how the heck there were hundreds of bushes within a single biome. Though we dug some up it was never ending! Neat bug, but thanks for the update! rezecib Posted June 12, 2015 Share Posted June 12, 2015 @Maris, You have an invalid gobbler (perd) attacking (and killing?) a player. That's the root of your problem, not the nonexistence of the replica. I'm guessing you're removing the gobbler immediately after it attacks, but you need to delay that a tiny bit so the next tick with the death event goes through properly. It's because of Mooselings that enraged to frogs, and that Mooselings still remain in their nest until autumn in this version, cause an autumn with infinite rain. Don't they fly away when season got changed?
