absimiliard
Well, there already is a Pig King, and Spider Queens. Merms, Bunnymen make two more groups. I'd assert that the Beefalo are probably a group too, as big things that breed, though not having something like a nest or hut (or giant carrot) to live in would go against that theory. Asparagus
I can't wait for skins to be in the game... along with an optional trigger-able event where you can join either merms or pigs and fight in a war... *holds out index finger to purse reader's lips* Shh... it's alright... shh... RedRock911
I'm working with a group of modern to have something like this. Right now we are creating different types of pig factions. But it wouldn't be farfetched to say at some point, we wouldn't eventually start creating merging and their bretheren. War is coming to Dont Starve, be prepared! Nickolas2600
I love the faction respect thing. But maybe that would be like a preset I mean in the end the world of Don't Starve is far from a society. Its the Wild with every kind for themselves. The Humans (plus robot and spider) from our charater list are the reps for the humans. Us humans stay together to survive while the spider stay together and vice versa,
NotStarvnMarvn
Pigs should have the tentacle spike (as a trophy from the swamp) and the merms should have a ham bat (made from the dead pigs). -for the merms- Tentacles could serve as a barrier or some sort of defense. Mario384
I made both pigs and merms playable. I am in the war, I'm a double agent times two.

FTR
That topic gives me idea that maybe developers should expand that in-game confict. Imagine being throw into world in which two factions fight each other, and you not only try to survive but also have to avoid both of those factions.. or decide to jump right into it and aid one. Player would then have to keep an eye for non-stop wars for territory that could possibly expand as game goes on. Possible option for better end-game? Asparagus
WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE! These are just ones of the most recent encounters I had with warring Pig Men and Merm Men... they've been battling it out since before we freed Maxwell from the Nightmare Throne... They're appearing more and more frequently. O__O What could this mean? O__O
J20hawkz
Confirmed Asparagus has early access to Shipwrecked DLC. One of his Merms is wearing a pirate hat with district butterfly colours. This is unacceptable if Asparagus thinks he can continue playing it without us knowing.
Asparagus
The Merm and Pigmen Skirmishes are getting more and more intense... As it seems, the Merms have taken a more aggressive (than usual) action. They have brought the fight to the Pig King Himself! Not a day earlier, I had encountered a skirmish south of the Pig Village... and as I approached the facade of the Pigmen Capital, war cries were heard... Could it be? I do believe it is!!
