The Bishop has a severe case of chiroptophobia and died on the spot after witnessing the bat when we made it to the surface. It's not like the damn Rook killed him, oh not at all...

So the perma following Clockworks worry me a bit. Can they still kill other clockworks without getting aggro? If so i can get some bishops and clear all the ruins in my world with them :/

Yes.

It does not.  The change in color is happens because anything with that particular hue starts glowing during the nightmare, including parts of ferns and monster meat.

I haven't really played this game since before caves (just enough to mod/test), but it's really getting some very good content these days.  Waiting until all content is finished will make for a good refreshing return to the game.

Yeah. The surface needs cleaning up to do but perhaps that is what the DLC will do.

Correct. File diving confirms they spawn nightmare creatures.

Yes they do spawn them, but this does not replace the nightmare lights. The fissures are basically the wilds version of nightmare lights, though it looks like the fissures may spawn fewer children.
