(can't wait for the countless interpretations and diversions by the community) I don't think it would be in game, but still interesting to think about. Will there be a sequel related to shadow and lunar rifts? In theory, the moon and shadows don't really go together and love each other, so there should probably be some interaction between them. What your seeing is not Winona actually turning into a Shadow, your seeing Charlie have illusions of something that is not actually happening, kind of like this movie I watched one time where there were these gross disfigured creatures, but there was this one girl who could only see happy rainbows and unicorns when looking at them? Yeah that.. Whats actually going on here is Charlie is probably making her mind see the shadow creature you see Winona turn into (my best guess is the “Mirror” she promised to free?) to appear as her little sister, a much happier image. But then she snaps back to reality and see’s the creature for what it truly is. Parusoid Posted July 31, 2025 Share Posted July 31, 2025 As a Wickerbottom main, i dislike the change that makes less birds spawn for 6 days after Lunar Hail. Considering that hail happens every 10 days, thats only 4 days where the Birds of the World book can be used to its fullest. This makes bird farm heavily impaired, especially now when Electric Darts increased in value due to shock change, Saffron Feathers are harder to obtain. Perhaps wickerbottom will get something to mitigate this in her skill tree update. Now right after the hail only 1 to 2 birds spawn and one of the is always the mutated one, next couple days the number gradually increases. Overall i find the period of 6 days to be too long. Clip below showcases typical use the book to obtain a lot of bird materials fast (recorded post hail, after 6 day period, meaning full potential of books, unaffected bird spawn rate). So, we'll get another update soon, I assume? Since this one was just an intermission (which I'm actually happy about, since it doesn't seem like it has enough content to justify it) and we still have the supposed 2 remaining updates this year. I think a roadmap would be even better, this cinematic ended incredibly promisingly, and giving us an overview of what's to come would be great. She doesn't look happy at their arrival at the end, just weary. Perhaps she's finally starting to figure out she's a puppet, not a partner. Love the dichotomy between her and Wagstaff, really hope we can save her. That said, yeah it's really starting to look like the primordial forces are taking over the constant which is... not good for the survivors.
