the message I quoted was from V2C discussing the features that wont be added in the update but in a patch. Lunar hail si one of them

But do you know if that's about a new feature or a fix of the current Lunar Hail event? I don't have the context, sorry.

theyre planning to make the lunar hail affect the world in some way like acid rain. I dont know what those changes are planned to be tho

you cant tell me that this boss was actualy play tested, litteraly more then half the arena got put into the damage field AND IT NEVER GOES AWAY....bad game design 0/10 boss, glove and the notes seem to do alsol absolutly nothing, AND THE RIFTS STILL OPEN despite the supposed final boss of moon side being defeated....sure this was not playtested like a playtested thing would have had this not be bad game designed

Well, it's already affecting the world on public servers by crashing them and resetting to day 1, lol. Thanks tho, I'll look into it.

Klei and Toby Fox are on the same level of awesomeness. The haters can hate all they want, but they are only making Klei stronger with their constant whining because Klei does awesome stuff anyway.

Lmao what kinda comparison is this?

I had a similar opinion to this when first seeing the boss and after some playing around with it it’s actually quite simple the arena getting smaller is really quite cool and it’s like frost jaw which is another cool(literally) boss. Just keep trying and eventually I hope you’ll come to the same conclusion I have.

litteraly it was his first attack, and it affected MORE THEN HALF of the arena...its still a bad game design just like pretty much all of the moon rift

Well if you actually put thought and effort in it should be simple. But then again sometimes people don’t wanna do that

The boss performs a noticeable growl animation before winding up its ground attack. Your goal is to position yourself away from the center of the island before the growl completes, as once the slam attack starts its impossible to redirect.

Wortox in particular is great for this, because once you notice the growl you can soul hop right next to it to bait the incoming slam and then soul hop back to safety once the slam completes.

Ngl fighting something for the first time and having it **** you up an UNGODLY amount is the most don't starve thing ever. It's not intuitive but like... The game kinda isn't, but that's also ok since the game doesn't seem to be catered towards playing it completely blind and/or without rollback, and the playerbase doesn't really seem to mind either..

I haven't played much of the beta but does the lunar ground go away after a period of time now? I heard it does not go away at all and remains permanently even after death. I hope this has been changed so that you can retry the fight fresh after several days have passed and it will finally dissipate.

The ground is permanent throughout the fight, but its supposed to immediately dissipate if the fight is “lost” (all players are dead/no longer there), and it heals back all its health. I don’t know if they fixed that, since when I had that happen to me I did a server restart to resolve the issue.

why sould i put effort into something the game does not bother doin so? like....the heat seekin missle SPAMMING that has no way of telling there heat seeking like at all or that the next phase will become bad game design the entire arena PERMANENTLY?!? thats not a good game design thats just kicking the player while they allready down wich is a rather toxic behavior and in that a not so good game design

he does make so many noises you think someone can just tell that he will make the fight unplayable? HE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ARENA AND IT WAS HIS FIRST ATTACK there is no way to counter that, and the fight would been so much better if some people would not complain that the boss was easy because you can teleport so it would not get patched out because....imagine using strategy right?

exploits don't make fights better. Don't be upset that you can't cheat your way around it.

That literally can't happen. It doesn't gain the slam attack until losing a certain amount of health.

The floor in front of the Scion is electrified whenever it does the slam (which is always telegraphed by the roar), so, ideally you'd lure it into doing the slam in a place where you'll lose as little ground as possible.

I felt the same way when I went into the boss blind for the first time (thought it was impossible and needed to be retuned), but it's definitely doable. It's just a matter of trying to minimize the amount of arena that's electrified.
