you cant tell me that this boss was actualy play tested, litteraly more then half the arena got put into the damage field AND IT NEVER GOES AWAY....bad game design 0/10 boss, glove and the notes seem to do alsol absolutly nothing, AND THE RIFTS STILL OPEN despite the supposed final boss of moon side being defeated....sure this was not playtested like a playtested thing would have had this not be bad game designed

I have never been a fan of fighting in confined spaces, and making the arena even smaller, especially right at the beginning of this fight.... I don't really see the counterplay to that.

Isn't the boss supposed to get the ground attack only below a certain health threshold?

If the boss has the ground attack right from the beginning, and the damage zone it creates never goes away no matter what, I would say it's more like an oversight.

I don't really like this pricing system. I'm glad that these skins are not worth just $4 like initially advertised, but $10 is still rather low. Worse yet, $10 seems to be the standardized price as opposed to being based on the actual MSRP of the associated products, as Mandrake plushie was worth $30 and Crabbit plushie $35. So I guess even Calico Chester plushie's hefty price tag of $60 will also be eventually reduced to mere $10 for the chest skin... I can honestly find more expensive or at least comparable skins in the steam marketplace even excluding things like funko pop skins.

I'm sorry, but this is a no from me. I don't think I will be buying expensive merch with super expensive shipping and customs/duties anymore if the excitement of collecting rare skins is just not there. If the prices for the skins were a bit higher and based on the MSRP then I would still consider it. Buying the meepsack skin from the in game store for only $10 felt very depressing, which is a huge departure from collecting exclusive skins for buying expensive merch, which felt very exciting and enjoyable every single time

you were also getting physical merch though??? plushies and sweaters and figurines all cost money to make and those dont get taken away from you just because the digital skin came out(years and years later).

Feels a bit early for this one, klei you are and your best when you take it slowly and take your time giving us updates, no one wants a half finished update that will just add things later. The Wendy skill tree update was delayed and was immaculate, we don't need to go back to the days when you put out half finished bosses "cough cough frostjaw not having the slippery mechanic"... No one in their right mind would get mad if you said "hey we will need 2-3 more weeks to properly finish the update"... That celestial champion reskin needed something new, pearl's quest feels unfinished and we didn't see any new mechanics for the rifts

Someone clearly has never played an MMO boss fight before. This is very formulaic and regularly used boss design for hundreds of bosses across multiply game franchises from Runescape, WoW, FF14, ESO, and many more.

It is weird, but the rifts were opened after Celestial Champion was defeated (and presumably given the item to Wagstaff) so it makes sense why they are permenant as you defeated only the Scion and not Alter itself. (If that will ever even be possible).

It was, feedback was given, and some of it was taken but not all of it. If anything the boss is too simple and easy for being the "true final boss so far pinky swear" compared to the likes of Ancient Fuelweaver or even Crab King.

The skins were the deciding factor in me buying the merch in the first place though. If merch didn't provide any exclusive skins, I wouldn't even consider buying it due to the insane costs. Exclusive skins becoming cheap skins feels like a slap in the face especially considering inflation

would you not know it, i actualy played a JAPANISE ONLY mmo and i mean japanise only as in, i needed to use an vpn to even play it

but still in these games the area of effect actualy goes away at some time

eh, so we did the same thing for the same reason and are currently in very different positions on it. i can't make you change how you feel or anything but even so i am happy it is happening. i want people to have access to this stuff even if they dont live somewhere that buying physical merch is viable

You guys complain a LOT.... Reading through these pages is just a giant whine fest. I saw maybe 2 positive comments. If Klei abandons this game, it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I agree with everything except the last part. If Klei ended DST I would be very surprised (and devastated)

I would be happy too if the pricing system was more fair and based on individual MSRPs as opposed to having a standardized $10 per skin. If it was for example $15 for meepsack, $17.50 for crabpack, then there would be at least a guarantee the calico chester chest skin would be for $30 (50% MSRP value, which is still a really good deal if you want to get the skin only and not the plushie as well), but with the current system calico chester chest will only be $10, which is unfairly cheap

2026 Roadmap: June 12th (later than that for console players) first official update- A few QOL tweaks to drowning, Geometric Grid, Controller Changes, Oh and Yet another Late Game Boss Fight which destroys Pearls Hermit home (one of the few cool mostly non-boss related updates)

Next Planned Content Update: September.

Stop fooling yourselves guys and girls… Games Already Dead.

DST consistently gets 40k players daily, this is slightly more than half of the daily Helldivers 2 players. The game is definitely NOT dead.
At the end of the day, these are free content updates to a 10 year old game, and most of the time the updates are bigger than minecraft updates and they from a studio of 50 devs. Klei is trying their best juggling DST and developing other games. DST wont be dead for a whiiiiileee

The community is so toxic smh, stop taking Klei for granted

Damn, it's almost like we have something worth complaining about. Like Klei pulling the exact same gobblygook they did with the original Return of them arc, or the fact that they ignored every bit of feedback during the beta about how nobody but like, 3 people likes how the quest line ended with dislocating Pearl for literally no reason and instead pushed it out early in order to line up with Klei Fest.

Moving pearl is litteraly a Godsend. No more having to sail to some spot in the ocean for fishing gear. And lore wise it makes sense because Pearl island is a piece of the moon.

The plot of the Moon Line is really a mess. A lot of the content is arranged in a rather confusing way.

For instance, Wagstaff suddenly appeared without any build-up (it would have been fine if he had started his research on underground archive at the very beginning), the process of Wagstaff's research experiments (the function and connection of each experiment he conducted), The process by which Wagstaff was noticed by the moon (which is important for explaining why he is eventually captured) and why Pearl's island was chosen as the battle site... None of these are explained, making it hard for people to be interested in this long and tedious storyline (which is even hard to tell the plot).:(

Hope you can continue to complete and supplement the details.:)
