Changes

  • Added variations to the bits stuck in Icker.
  • Winter Rabbits, Beardlings, Shadow Atriums and Ornate Chests have been made HD.
  • Improved Great Depths Worm’s movement smoothness for clients.
  • Beefalo Gloom Bell now goes into cooldown instead of being consumed.
  • Willow may now stoke up her controlled fires to make them propagate fires again.
  • Decreased Shadow Maul’s hunger drain rate and increased sanity loss on healing.
  • The Shadow Maul no longer requires dealing the last hit to a Giant to level up.
  • Updated player attack animation.
  • Great Depths Worm changes:
    • Now arrives near the player.
    • Won’t arrive until after day 25.
    • Spike and digestion damage has been tuned down a little.
  • Missing notes from the last patch notes:
    • The spawn of a Rift now also triggers the spawn of Ornery Chests.
    • Spelunker's Bridge Kits can no longer be placed in the Atrium Maze, Ancient Guardian Labyrinth and Archive Rooms.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the main menu playing the wrong music.
  • Fixed W.O.B.O.T. causing boats to stop and close their sails under certain situations.
  • Fixed missing footsteps when running along some edges of the world or bridges.
  • Fixed inconsistencies on Beefalo’s path finding.
  • Fixed the Fortuitous Rabbit losing its mouth when appearing out of the ground.
  • Fixed Mosquitoes flying to the world’s origin.
  • Creatures no longer try to eat things inside an Icker Preserve.

Skins Fixes

  • Fixed invisible torsos when wearing Ragnarok Reveler Coat.
  • Fixed Walter's Roseate skin missing quotation marks.
  • Fixed Intricate Turret skin showing up as “n/a” in the crafting menu.
  • The Nouveau Stone Wall has been made thinner to match other walls.
  • Fixed Nouveau Bird Trap’s inventory icon having a background.
  • Fixed Webber’s Swashbuckler skin having an invisible body with certain shirts.
  • Fixed Winona’s structure items going invisible when using the Clean Sweeper.
  • Fixed Winona’s structures having their wires lose their skins.
  • Fixed Wortox's Roseate nose losing parts when yawning.
  • Fixed Walter’s Roseate having stray art around the backside of the head.
  • Fixed Woodie’s Roseate mustache not being visible from the backside.
  • Fixed Winona's Generator/G.E.M.erator skins missing ground shadows in the item form.
  • Fixed the Pinetree Pioneer Hat skin for other characters.
  • Fixed stray art in Walter’s Snowfallen hair.
  • Fixed Wortox’s Roseate and Guest of Honor having fur tufts on the body showing up when using a head skin for their set.
  • Fixed Beefalo being unable to be skinned with non Year of the Beefalo skins when the Year of the Beefalo event is active.

Notes for Modders

  • Locomotor pathfinding cap field ignorebridges has been added to help reduce pathfinding from navigating over bridges.

Are there plans for adding more possessed atriums and spark arks? Both are interesting mechanics but we barely need them once we craft one unit of each kind

(The difference between the hair and the beard in terms of the white "bits" are rather jarring tho, but still. Yippee!!!)

Awesome changes Klei. You're the best guys. I will test it immediately and see how much the situation has improved.

Question, what about and there is still time for the other important feedback proposed by the community such as:

More fixes to the Great depths worm spawning, deleting items, maybe even fighting?, Rabbit king spawn methods, atrium and mimics?

They said on the dev stream that they were working on changes to make finding atrium a better experience but they couldn't get that out in time for the update.

Exactly why I asked before this. They have already a reworked atrium, they confirmed it on the livestream, but they didn't answer what they are gonna do about it, when, why, what, ecc... it's all in my post Depths of duplicity post-mortem feedback.

Does this affect ALL fire methods or just Willows lighter? Because if I recall the reason why it was changed to non-spreading in the first place was so that Willow could use items like the firestaff for combat purposes without fear of those fires spreading right?

So it's now more in line with all the other skill trees perks of not having a malus.
