What features from mods would you want implemented into the base game in future patches?

GIant Crop cooking, this mod adds a really interersting way of cooking giant crops and comes with some new recepies.

I don't know why but it feels quite Don't Starvey, it adds another layer while not invalidating other strategies.

  • Enraged Klaus guaranteed krampus sack drop (Uncompromising Mode (UM))
  • Replace WX rework with UM WX rework (much more interesting)
  • Given how obsessed we are with the characters I would think that I would have stumbled over a cool character mod but that’s never happened

Also, brighter X marks the spot locations.

This is great, can you link to the mod please? I often struggle to find them, especially when I have the game paused and the map is darker than usual. And I definitely agree it should be in the base game.

people'll try to only do enraged klaus, realise how boring enraged klaus's, ask to change him, start cheesing him, complain about krampus sack not being a random thing that you don't need or whatever it was anymore and it being very easy to get and end up either getting that or cheeses removed or with an enraged klaus rework so better not to add that without an enraged klaus rework

Actually I'm 95% sure that UM removed that feature.

And that is probably why UM removed it.

I think I remember the haunted house one! Thanks for bringing back memories ;; I wonder why I forgot about this brilliant thing.

Fair enough, but really I just like the Japanese Sakura trees (I have one that grows in my own front yard!) and the detail of the pink leaves covering the ground, not so sure if I would want the full mod, but that Biome to replace one of the forest biomes would be very eyeball pleasing.

How long it takes for your game to load isn’t really my problem, I can say that on Xbox Series S if you have the game installed to your internal Hardrive you can go from your Xbox main menu, to booting up the game, to selecting a server, character loading into the world in no joke.. less than about 60 seconds.

I imagine that older hardware (like an outdated PC or the Nintendo Switch) would have a significant load time, but again.. that’s not really my problem.

The Switch however already has to lower player counts to 4 maximum (on Xbox it’s 6) So I’m pretty sure Klei will be able to cut the corners that they need to to ensure that the game runs efficiently on each platform.

By the way which reminds me- DST is coming to mobile platforms through Netflix Games…

And oh dear god…. I’m not sure how much they’ll have to cut corners on a IOS/Android smartphone version of the game, but I can imagine it’ll be somewhere below switch..

No one has currently created a clientside version yet.
