you might consider other options for his skill tree because from what I know Webber might learned a lot while he is surviving with the other survivors because from what I know he is close to the other characters like Wickerbottom and Wendy he might learn something from them 

because some characters skill trees are influenced by other characters like from what I know some of Wurt skill trees was influenced by Winona and she help him build some of his structures 

Any ideas for how I should design the skill icons for these alignments

shadow infused spiders:

 

The Queen will reward your loyalty with  the ability to Infuse your feral friends with power familiar in form

 

You can infuse spiders by using a new item called shadow silk cluster crafted with 8 ashes, 8 silk,and 1 pure horror 20 second cool down each use when used it would be like casting the web casted by overcoming arachnophobia but grey as well as a gray version of the cloud effect when using healing glop and infuses spiders that walk on it instead of slow them down 

After biting a mob That mob will receive 25 planar and normal damage for the next four minutes with mobs of the opposing alignment receiving an extra 10 planar damage per minute and the spider will lose they’re infusion until next time you infuse the spiders,all spiders can attack nightmare creatures when afraid

If they made it so there’s another way to make mulch for anyone or other farming characters to keep it fair then sure but spiders protecting plants and fruit fly doesn’t make as much sense as the fruit fly has no connection to Webber and probably shouldn’t because they are not related and the only connection would be they both are farming but I don’t see that as a good reason for connection especially for someone who just started farming in gameplay, and for spiders unless followers got an update I don’t think they should do that. Also why not just give Webber spider fertilizer or farming tools made of silk?

What would they do? But probably as I don’t know if Webber likes to catch bugs in the constant enough or if it was just for his dad because if it was just for his dad then he would have little to no reason to do it in the constant.

I got rid other mulch idea you realize the spiders would be eating the fruit flies right also I thought it was supposed to tie in to his gameplay

I misread the fruit fly part, but what would be befriended? Yes but your adding farming skill out of nowhere (gameplay wise I get why lore wise) so if webber is going to have farming skills it should make sense gameplay wise because it’s affecting gameplay but also lore wise as that’s the main/only reason for farming skills being added to Webber.

If your going the farming root with Webber then farming silk tools like a hoe or fertilizer or a watering can. But maybe a spider hat that acts like a top hat but it provides a bit of insulation.

At most 3 but preferably 1 or 2. Den perks, help your spiders, cookie and milk combo?

 

also a random idea for followers if they got an update about them. What if there was a followers tab like how there’s a beefalo tab, and in it you could craft cheap and somewhat effective armor for followers or other tools or other things related to helping or keep you followers. And the shadow or ruins or rift crafts could have a helmet that lets followers who wear it see and attack nightmares with some protection and it could be repairable with fuel or just not too expensive. Also before you say that I said Bernie should be the only one to have it, still agree with that but Bernie getting that from day 1 compared to having to explore the shadow stuff in later days is still somewhat unique and this is if all followers got an update. Though maybe there could be tools to help with teamwork like commanding tools.

The spiders from the den that would be placed on the farm turf because he’s the reason they have a consistent source of food

The reason I brought up the idea of using the protection of the planets to eventually get instant befriending of spiders from that den because he’s the reason they have a consistent source of food is in order to tie the gardening skill into webber’s gameplay

Don’t spiders just eat meat? It’s one thing to mix vegetables and meat, it’s another thing them eating raw vegetables. And if you’re talking about the fruit flies they’re not constantly spawning and I could see spiders attacking them but eating them to become befriended I think is a bit too much. Also infinite befriended spiders without feeding them meat from potentially multiple dens on farm turf sounds a bit op.

For spiders or farming or both? if there’s a follower update to improve all followers equally then I guess tilling, planting seeds, and tending with maybe watering and fertilizing for nurses and striders but they have to get it from a source.

More as a bonus but it’s more as a good healer and maybe it gets boosted stat bonus or an effect like overtime healing if the cookie type it uses matches the spider it’s fed to.

If there’s no followers update then keep it simple and fair compared to other followers rn so a simple ability like leaping or dodging is okay so long as it’s balanced. A random idea like shooting webs similar to wickerbottom’s maybe as it’s 1 simple ability but I wouldn’t make a special ability for each spider for the reason of too many.

I would be okay with small buffs to each spider’s ability but they shouldn’t be too big and I think it would make more sense if those buffs were a different skill.

Then I would say tilling for spiders and silk related farming tools.

Oh. We already came up with something for the milk but I don’t have many ideas for benefits from farming besides using them in crafting some spider foods but not really sure about that either.

It could be something with spiders farming, but I figured you wanted it too be tied into webber’s gameplay

and also do a skill that makes him not loose at dusk

(also do you think it would be too powerful if the dusk thing extended to night?)

Also, I feel like there should be a craft that allows non-Webber survivors to walk among non-bedazzled spiders without being agro on or some other  care craft

I want there to be a reason to farm instead of hunting with a benefit gained from farming. But also yeah I want it to make farming more helpful to his way of survival then it would be if you just added farming boosts.

I assume you mean sanity and he is still a child that probably is still a bit scared of the constant.

Though if there’s a Webber why would other players need to explore spiders. But besides that maybe a spider friendly hat?

I was think more if you were traveling weather it is resource gathering, exploring, etc if they run into spider territory they can travel safely through it

well, that reminds me of an old idea of mine. It was like balled up silk You could throw enemies and it would act similar to eucus snot does that sound like a good idea?

Maybe you could use silk and another material to make spider armor eqiupable by spiders only and for tools they could have tools in the form of fangs. But maybe just certain spider types can do certain work tasks to balance spider abilities a bit and to encourage exploring for more spiders.

I think Webber would try to collect those spiders but okay.

trapping creatures sounds a bit much but it could slow down enemies a lot but if it did do a very effective slow down or trapped creatures it should probably have a cooldown.

I was thinking when you would use up the item

Just now, I was thinking what if the defensive in aggressive modes that the webby whistle with spider Pacific

For example see you switched it to defensive settings while you’re on a boat and you have sea strider the sea strider would try to block the boat from hitting any incoming rocks

also, I think I thought of a way too Give other players way to stay safe when traveling through spider territory, I could  add this skill That would be called sharing is caring and it would allow Webber to give players the shoebox and they could only use it for its calling off aggressive spider function

but now to think of a third craft for the care craft thing

You could just use the ingredients of a snicker doodle minus the special ingredient plus the milk to make cookies and milk instead. It would give at least 20 and at most 60 health but I don’t know what it should be exactly, it would grant a lot of hunger and possibly a bit of sanity.

No I meant sanity drain. He is still a boy and probably is still scared of the dark.
