What did removing 25 health and hunger from wx accomplish?

did i say this? i dont remember saying i was gonna pick the stat modules cause of lowered stats, but if i did feel free to correct me

i personally dont see stat modules as valuable, as i have 3.3k hours on dst, and believe myself to be pretty good at the game, and as such dont really find myself needing high stats. i do believe there should be a reason to use all modules however, but the way klei went about incentivizing stat modules is boring, as has been said above. personally, i'd like the stat modules to have some other minor effect related to the stat it boosts, like the hunger module slowing the hunger drain rate. maybe the sanity module would reduce sanity loss rate by 10%, maybe the health module makes healing items more efficient (technically its better if you removed the health module and then healed since im pretty sure the health conversion is done in percentages, kinda like how old wolfgang would heal more hp if he healed in wimpy form). nothing crazy, but small things that make the stat modules more interesting.

It’s not a waste lol, especially now that you have more incentive to use them thanks to lower base stats. It sounds to me like you’re just upset you’ll have to actually consider using the stat circuits instead of slapping on speed ones and calling it a day.

Heres the thing though: newer players might be incentivized to use them since they'll think more stats is better, but for players who are more skilled at the game, higher stats are less useful since they know when to heal, and are able to manage hunger and sanity. Honestly it is a waste to use slots since you need to spend more resources filling your higher bars, unless you remove your slots each time you want to eat/heal/restore sanity, since the stat conversion system uses percentages, which is highly inconvenient thanks to needing to restore your charge, and before you bring up methods of restoring charge manually, that takes even more resources.

I get the feeling you didn't read my original post, because my original post was asking why removing 25 health and hunger was done, since I believe it does very little in incentivizing the use of stat modules, and making the character weaker. I really couldn't care less about the change, I was just wondering what the point was, which is most likely klei just giving in to the 100 base stat audience.

Because bunch of people asked for solo DS 100 stats, not considering if that will work for everybody, or just for them.
In my opinion WX wasn't a challenge character and now is changed to challenge character, as some people just wanted to have fun where they walk on the edge (and fun is subjective).

Imo all that stats thing is missing one point in the rework: WX could have be better more of mix'n'match of his all other perks, like do it, run as shiny music box from nobody can escape : D. And yet some people are forcing "lower stats! make him like DS! Make him fun!"... but in other way, which I don't really agree. Why don't play Wes, if you like low stats and "challenge"? Maybe because in the end, is tendiuos and boring?

Health is understandable and a decent  nerf.

 

Food is just annoying and dumb, much like other chars with low food thresholds.

 

Aside from the bothersome constant chugging of food, the worst part is making meaty stew no longer be used.

 

I kept saying that if they want to buff thr food circuits they have to give it bonus stat gain on food, NOT capacity

Nobody has been talking about WXs ability to eat stale food as if it was fresh as can be. Am I the only one who enjoyed this perk lol? 

As soon as you bundle it becomes much less useful, but until then I always really enjoyed that. Is it just me? 

I bring this up because for new players getting a queen kill won't happen the first in game year. Sometimes even a few. I think can play directly into WXs stomach stats and everything. I always felt eating spoiled food made him one of the best nomadic characters, along with chomping gears, and getting lucky for a speed bonus. Now luck isn't even a factor which is pretty nice all things considered.

this feature is nice cause i can unbundle less often since i dont really care if the food goes stale or not
