Crab King dont spawn beacouse of waterlogged biome

Recommended Posts

I was playing on my 600 days world and preparing to fight Crab King but when i tried to find him i couldnt also i revealed 80% of ocean, then i looked for some help in the internet and there was a commend that you could type in to see how much crab kings do you on your world now it was

ThePlayer.components.talker:Say(tostring(c_countprefabs("crabking")))

And it showed me that i had 0 crab king then i noticed something unusual There were sea stacks placed like for crab king spawn but there was also a waterlogged biome right next to it. I searched that bug and someone else also had this but there wasnt any help so please if anyone can help me with this beacouse i dont want to start all over again without any commands but if there isnt any other way than just using commands i dont mind here are some images of what i have in map

Did you try to use astral detector?

It won't point anywhere; the waterlogged biome ate Crab King.

@KrolSzwecji Do this command: c_announce(TheWorld.meta.seed). That way we have a seed for this world so it can be investigated further in the bug tracker.

I saw this bug previously in the tracker but I don't think it was ever addressed.

Honestly, I wouldn't call you a cheater for having to spawn in crab king if the worldgen itself screwed up.

I had to do something similar with the archives once, where I got a really small archives that failed to spawn the fountains, I had to spawn in the fountains then ended up doing the archives as intended after that.

I've found the counting console command is not always reliable.  Try using gonext and see if it takes you to him.

I've had the counting console command return 0 for several items when they were in the world, I just hadn't explored to reveal them yet.

did you run the command local or remote?

Interesting - when I press ` to bring up the console it defaults to remote, and when I use the console command it returns 0.  However if I switch to remote and back it returns 1.  Perhaps there is a visual bug where it appears to be remote but is actually running local until you've toggled?  Or something, idk.  Running 0 mods for this test.

idk, I just always know when I run remote it doesn't display anything ingame, I have to go check the server logs to actually get the number.

It's how I figured out the terrarium chest didnt generate in culinary archipelago, which made me have to spawn in the terrarium just to play the content.

idk, I never looked into it.  I just used c_gonext to verify I had 4 walrus camps before locking in a Wanda World since the counting command only returned 0.

If i spawned crab king on commands in this place would it count as his spawn so he would respawn after i killed him?

You should do c_spawn("crabking_spawner") to have that point be the respawn point. I think if you just do c_spawn("crabking"), it will just spawn CK and not his spawn point, so you can't fight him again if you wanted to.

Idk if the making him spawner will make him their immediately. If not, yoh just might have to wait 20 days, or 5 if you speed up his respawn timer in the world settings.

I think it has something to do with the fact there are no actual "biomes" In the ocean, only set pieces.

There's plenty of "biomes" in the ocean, though. Stuff like the Hazardous ocean for example. Kinda hard to tell that in game though.

You're right, I was talking about stuff like seaweeds, cookie cutters, waterlogged and crab king because I heard they all are just set pieces.
