Guide On Insulation: (looking Into What You Wear):

I believe I covered everything. There is honestly so much I learned about insulation just from researching it. If I missed anything, please do let me know.

One more thing before I add my dreaded "Sincerely" each insulation point is one real life second. So WIlson's Stage Three Beard provides over two minuted of protection.

Anywho.... I hope you enjoyed the read. Have a good one!

Sincerely,

Cactus

I'm not certain this meets the criteria of a "guide".

Even a complete newbie can tell some clothing are more powerful than others from the crafting description alone.

"EvEn a CoMpLeTe NewBiE Ca-"

Be quiet.

Don't be an anus. Thank you.

(By the way, again, I've been playing this game for 3 years with over 1000 hours and yet, I learned stuff from writing this guide!)

well this is already going places.

I'm only saying you need to put alot more info than what you have provided. You've basically put nothing the wiki couldn't do.

If you are going to pull the "Anything can just be researched" thing, then every "guide" on this forums is pointless. You can find videos with the same, or better quality stuff. Just because it exist, doesn't mean it shouldn't be said.

instead of being open to criticism to improve lets be rude and aswere like a ****

if you post things you should be take critics not just "likes"

Currently adding more stuff as we speak.

I did take criticism. From @Combustiblemon. He wasn't being rude about it, they were. As soon as they said I needed to add more, I did.

Sincerely,

Cactus

Thanks for the info. Not sure why people are complaining.  Never knew a lava pool was 500 but makes sense.

I just go with a Tam o and heat stone for winter and occasionally break the beefalo hat out .

During summer I just use 2 rotating heat stones in the icebox and an eyebrella or straw hat if I don't have one.

Over heating or freezing is rarely an issue if I do these methods.

People don't know about: "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" on this forum. Its a shame. You'll find its always the same people; best you can do is ignore it.

I like data dumps that are easy to screen shot on my phone. Thanks!

Ah.  This topic is reminding me exactly WHY I put Well-met on my ignore list.  It's a feature that exists--just throwin' that out there.  Life is too short to put up with being annoyed in ways you can easily avoid!

Anyway.  As for the original GUIDE (and yes it is one) thank you, Cactus!  It's very cool to see all that information put together like that in one place.  I never really knew what Webber or Woodie's beard do in terms of warmth, or _how_ much protection against overheating Willow has.  Very cool!  Or warm.  Whatever.  : P

...Notorious

I'm not exactly sure copying a wiki page and putting it on the forums is a "guide"... Especially when you've omit most of the information from said page and only are copying the raw numbers with no explanations given.

Show me a video or wiki page containing all of the information given in this guide that was uploaded before said guide.

Let me clarify a bit what happened here for those reading just now: Despite the words chosen which may have been a bit rough with the newbie comparison, I agreed with Well-Met’s first post, by the time he replied I also saw the original post and it was definitely not a guide - and not even informative- just a couple of values of insulation copy-pasted with no explanation given.

Cactus has much improved the post with edits since then, making it more complete and useful now.
