Dragolantis Posted January 8, 2021 Share Posted January 8, 2021 I don't know what the term for these events are, so I'm just calling them Special Events, I got DST in 2020, and I missed out on both Forge events and the Gorge event. I have played these events through mods, and I really enjoy them. But I have heard rumors that due to low revenue, that these types of events won't come back. I want to know if this is true, because if it is, that's really sad, because that means no Forge: Season 3, or Gorge: Season 2, or a new event similar to these 2. Could someone please help a curious Dragolanits? I hope that the rumors are false, because that would suck. There are however mods that fully replicate the experience, so as shitty it is to miss the official events (I know... Also got the game in 2020) the mods provide a great experience. I tried them already and it's super fun. But maybe in a couple years or so they could do something new. But they will need funding because they said hosting all the servers put a dent in cash for them. We do daily 35.000 k of players and in 2019 we did for the first time, in all 7 years of Don't Starve, 66.000 k players!!! The short answer: to do limited time gorge/forge events means to STOP doing these awesome core games content updates that will always be permanent content that WONT be around for a brief time and then gone again.
