how to farm?

Recommended Posts

I was playing DST one day, which I haven't done in forever, and I saw that Klei Dropped a new update. A Farming update. We learned that there are new seeds corresponding to each crop. Dragonfruits have their bulbous seeds, Carrots with their oblong seeds, and etc. The crop I farm the most is dragon fruit. You know for those sweet sweet dragon pies. Anyways, I found out that when I feed the dragon fruit to the poor birds I trapped in a prison, they only give me 1 dragon fruit seeds, resulting in 1 dragon fruit. Is there any way that I can farm dragon fruits/other crops?

How to grow giant dragonfruit:
1) Get four dragonfruit seeds by replanting and possibly giving the crop back to bird.
2) Make two adjacent farm plots.
3) In each plot plant two dragonfruit seeds in Spring or Summer. Make sure all four are close to each other.
4) Add eight manure to each plot.
5) Water/tend each phase.
6) Enjoy your 8-12 dragonfruit harvest.

You can also scale this up to 6 plants (3 in each plot); just add 12 manure to each plot.

I’m Finally trying this out but am a bit confused by the plant registry. I’ve harvested a bunch of crops plus seeds yet the plant registry is not recording which crops produce which seeds (and vice versa).

you need to research them with the hat in every grow stage and for having the specific seed name you need to plant that seed and research it before it grows

I have another question. Let's say you have a farm tile that you've used to grow a few cycles of plants, presumably depleting some of the soil nutrients. If you dug up that tile and then plopped down a rigamagig in the same spot and dug a new farm tile, would the nutrients be returned to the original amounts?

Nope.
