Is there a way to make a safe pigskin farm as Wurt?

Recommended Posts

Im playing Wurt and I can make the normal pig farm, houses with skin in a pen in the middle, but they still target Wurt.

Is there a way to make a Pig skin farm without having to change characters? I will be changing characters eventually but I still want to know.

I thought of placing the pigs near the Merms, which would probably work if I put bait for the pigs to stay out, but It would probably be less effecient than something

else because The pigs would eat the pig skin after they respawn.

Maybe I could do the merm vs pig farm, though I'm just asking if there is a better way.

bait them arround something and go only in full moon

give them her mask "clever disguise"... you probs gonna get hit once and then u need to run away... while they are wearing it they are neutral to you

To farm them:

you can build a pen kinda bait with fences in a tile square and a pig skin in the middle and build the pig houses around the bait pen

the pigs them will be attracted to the bait

kill them during the full moon

I've been experimenting with the idea of using a Clockwork Bishop on the surface to automatically attack the pigs in their pen. The pigs would target the bishop while it attacks the pigs, and when you want to collect the loot you simply freeze/sleep the bishop. Not my original idea, so that thanks would go to @dongianizoo

I'll link the video that inspired the concept here:

DST: THE BISHOP SHOOTIUS - Don Giani Guides

This could help to work as an alternative to farming them normally, but take my advice with a large grain of salt.

Step 1: Clear the ruins to acquire lots of green gems to made deconstruction staffs.

Step 2: Go through the labyrinth chests and obtain all the football helmets within them.

Step 3: Deconstruct these helmets.

Step 4: Profit

It would be a little too ''active'' to be considered a farm but if you put a houndius shootius behind impassive structures, let them aggro you , the shootius will begin shooting them down little by little and they won't be able to fight back. If you can manage to kill the fuelweaver and get multiple houndius, it would make the process a lot faster.

When I play Webber I honestly just kite single pigs and feed them monster meat to get werepigs which always drop a pig skin on death myself.

This, and I'll add a tip: use your merms to make it faster. Like, at least 5 warrior merms will make killing each werepig a lot faster and safer, since they will keep the aggro

The other option is to make a big pig village with  permanent lured pigs at the moonstone, then you need one starcaller turned to mooncaller.

If the mooncaller is in place during full moon all the werepigs will be alive, but as soon as you remove the mooncaller all werepigs around the moonstone will turn to moonrock statues. However if you put the same mooncaller again the pigs will break open from the moonstone, but some of them will instantly die and drop pig skins and meat instead. So just spam placing and removing the mooncaller staff into the moonstone during full moons until all werepigs melt into meat and skins.

You don't need to create new mooncallers at every full moon, you can always use the same one, and it doesn't even have to be fully chrged so you can  also use an old one at low %. Also remember to surround the moonstone with objects that mobs can't destroy, like statues, ancient bones, etc.

I believe you can make an oven.

If you make an "oven", wait for the full moon, and the werepigs are lured to something, they may not destroy the walls. Although to make it 100% fail proof, its best to use statues instead of walls. Examples of the basic designs below in the spoilers

Example 1:

Example 2, somewhat more efficient, and although it was made with bunnymen it can be done with werepigs (so long its full moon, they are all lured to something, and preferably the surroundings are statues instead of walls.)

The moonstone method still works just fine.

By moonstone method, I mean protecting the moonstone with statues all around (my setup didnt work because i did not expect them to hit the fences) and constantly taking out and putting back in a star caller's staff to slowly destroy all werepigs around it, because when they turn from statue to actual werepig they have a chance to just die.
