NippleKing
I don't see how they're worth it for the crops they grow.Yeah, maybe they'll give you dragon fruit and stuff but i run out of seeds way too fast.I had 8 turbo farms and most the time i didn't have seeds for them. Can anyone help give me a reason to use them? Spoonfairy
Maybe if you don't want to have that many farms laying around, maybe you just feel like having 1 cause your private place shall look neat and clean. But yes as turbofarm vs more normal farms doesnt really make any difference the whole question comes down to area
Excess
I don't see how they're worth it for the crops they grow.Yeah, maybe they'll give you dragon fruit and stuff but i run out of seeds way too fast.Off course you'll run out of seeds with 8 turbo farms The idea of turbo farms is to have less than the slower ones. But I do understand that they may not be worth it. They should stay fertilized more time than the lesser farms.I always reserve an inventory slot for seeds. See, crows appear wherever you are. They don't drop seeds outside of your vision. So, when I walk around and see a crow, I immediately scare it to pick up seeds. It become an automatic thing to do while playing the game, and this way I can barely keep running my 6 turbo farms constantly. More farms would be impossible to maintain seeded. NippleKing
can't you fertilize it more than once so you can plant more depending on how many time you've fertilized it?
Toaster Fu
Yes you can, what Excess means is that one piece of manure would let you plant more then one seed.
Excess
can't you fertilize it more than once so you can plant more depending on how many time you've fertilized it?You can't in the sense of putting a lot of manure and then grow a lot of seeds, like so:Fertilize with manureFertilize with manureFertilize with manurePlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruitPlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruitPlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruitBut you can do it one by one, like so:Fertilize with manurePlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruitFertilize with manurePlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruitFertilize with manurePlant Seed / Wait for it to grow / Harvest fruit Edited November 4, 2012 by Excess OR DO YOU!? And while you are still hovering the poo over the farm. The farm is marked and it says fertilize. Thought it was kinda obvious - - - Updated - - -haha, triple chocket response from the ones who knew
Excess
I was too afraid to alter the Ph of the soil and over-fertilize the crops. In the real world doing it could kill the plants. In Don't Starve, I was fearing the plant would grow carnivore and KILL ME!PS: Jokes aside, I just realized this could be the NEXT BIG THING in farming. Flesh-hungry carnivore plants that would eat you on approach and slowly digest you while you chop him from the inside out.QUICK, FOLLOW ME TO THE SUGGESTIONS FORUM! Toaster Fu
Yep manure speeds farms up, or atleast gives them a boost.
LadyD
If you time it right you go from the small/medium stub to FULL harvest.
