Duplicants don't use outhouse

Recommended Posts

They only use the house a couple times when i first build it for them, after that they decide to pee everywhere. Those little bastards even pee in front of the house. I have checked everything, set the priority of the house to 9, clean it regularly, buid more house in every corner incase they're too far away. Tried to google the problem but only 1 article on steam discussion but a guy there said the bug was patched (?). Can anyone help me please?

Outhouses need to be plumbed from time to time (they get an icon if "full") When the time comes, the outhouse is considered out of order. Plumbing is a low priority job, so dupes will do everything else, before they do plumbing. Try setting the outhouse to priority 6, and watch.

I don't think this is the issue, as it has already been stated that the priority has been set to 9, which is more likely to get done over 6.

When you say "plumbed" this would imply some form of pipes involved, which is misleading.  Outhouses have no form of plumbing what so ever. - maybe i'm being a bit to pedantic on the grammar policing.

The outhouse probably needs sand, which is a supply task, probably.... I'd guess that there are no dupes with a supply errand priority set, or there is no sand available.

Sounds like you don't have anyone supplying the toilet with sand.  The tooltip on the right when the toilet is selected should tell you if it is waiting for filtration medium or not.

alright i will pay attention to that when i play the game
