Headcanons Not Included

Wasn't sure whether to put in General or Art&Lore. Decided to go for Art&Lore. 
A thread specifically for all headcanons regarding our precious duplicants, the members of Gravitas Facility, the critters, basically any and every theory and belief regarding Oxygen Not Included. 

Here are some of mine: 
* Mae was the first successful Duplicant to be printed. 
* Ren is the origin of the Deep Diver's Lungs trait. 
* Joshuas are always able to interpret what an Otto means to say. 
* Harold made the best latkas the Gravitas Facility had ever eaten. 
* Ottos stutter when they start to get stressed. 
* Gravitas' cloning more or less ended up an open secret among most of the staff. They liked making puns about it. 
     "Oh, I'm just besides myself about this."     "Guess we've all been Duped."     "Tank you for listening, clone-me."  
* Ming-Mei, of all the Duplicants, would be the most likely to reach and sit upon the Nightmare Throne. 
* Duplicants do not need casts for internal healing so much as a restraint. 
* Gabriel, Gossman and Banhi were the employees almost all the other faculty had crushes on. 
* Meep is a very capable worker as long as he can stim and express himself properly. 
* Shinebugs are seen as symbols of good fortune. 
* Catalina was one of Jodi's closest friends among the duplicated employees. 
* In duplicant testing the facility used the Travaldo Stress Scale to determine their success in avoiding colony breakdowns. 
* Burt was a professional swimming athlete before working for Gravitas. 
* Bubbles is recorded as the first person to have ever personally destroyed a block of neutronium. Her duplicants have repeated this feat. 
* Liam invented the Arcade and helped engineer the Jukebot, insisting they were necessary for stress relief. 
* Ada has a beautiful singing voice. However she's incredibly shy and normally only sings around critters. 
* Jodi hired Pierre as a physician and psychiatrist for the Gravitas employees. Productivity increased substantially after his hiring. 
* Elvira and Mozzarella had extreme ocular light sensitivity. 
* Nikola was prohibited from being left unsupervised with Rowan or Max in any of the labs. Eventually he was not allowed alone in the labs either. 
* Max drank an entire lava lamp upon misunderstanding a joke made by Camille. 
* Devon's full name is Devon Italy Strange. 
* Abe had terrifying recurring nightmares of a giant Morb. 
* Duplicants have stronger pack-bonding instincts than humans. 
* Travaldo had many succulents. 
* There are several dozen duplicant codes erased and files listed as redacted. These are all found in a buried folder titled "Has Science Gone Too Far?"

Joshua was never truly approving of Ellie's chronic gossip and office politicking; he was just too nice and non-confrontational to tell her that she was kind of a terrible person.

* Stinky taught Harold how to dance. 
* Ellie had the worst temper of the entire Gravitas Facility. 
* Ari joined Gravitas after being caught perfectly forging priceless artworks. 
* Adas and Leiras have been known to bop buns together in greeting. 
* Otto was surprisingly physically strong. 
* Ruby was trained in the military as one of their best sharpshooters. 
* Hideki was among the most coffee-dependent of Gravitas staff. 
* Lenny was an expert at geology. And soduku puzzles. 
* Turners are often nonchalantly accepting of insults and critiques.

Even though Dupes are so dang nice and friendly with one another, I like to imagine that some Dupes are feared by others.

• Meep makes a point to avoid Mi-Ma after seeing the ruthlessness in her eyes.
• Ada is terrified of Nikola after hearing his claims of colony-rupturing lasers and seeing the shattered planet.
• Stinky knew exactly what he was doing, and threatened to out Liam's role in the Outbreak if he (Liam) outed his (Stinky's) actions.
• [edit] Oh yeah, Bahni was nearly killed by Ari that one time, and Ari showed no remorse. So Bahni has a pretty good reason to believe that Ari is a cold blooded killer under that bubbly exterior.

Ari and Ellie are definitely sociopaths. Sparkly, cutesy little sociopaths.

I hadn't thought about that connection. But that probably would pop in her head immediately. Poor Ada.
