They used the look of maxwell...

Wilson was never corrupted...

Charlie was turned into half-darkness-half-charlie...

Ancients weren't actually knowing what were they doing because they just were scared of the spoopy winter and just discovered the fuel and then it stabbed them in the shell ( they were bugs x humans )

Maxwell isn't evil , he was just controlled by them.

Charlie is evil because she is actually one of Them.

Hey, I meant to show that the humans aren't exactly evil. Maxwell explained it in his confession in the end of adventure mode (he called the player "plaything", and look how bad he felt in the Cyclum comic), his actions were ill intended, he couldn't really tell if he did his on his own or They forced him to do it. However, we do not exactly know how Charlie became the Night Monster, maybe it's like a fragment of her mind (like summoning shadow puppets) is lost to Them, and this might resulted in the former figure, the Shadow Monster. This is a possible explanation of the circumctances.

Also, in Hamlet you can see pigeons, akin to those that appear in the Gorge.
In Don't Starve, the birds that we can see are almost always EXCLUSIVE to a certain part of the constant (apart from Wolly who, while being a parrot, appears in the normal DS world.)

Maxwell says that the birds were not made by him, and come from other worlds. Birds seem to have interdimentonal travel capability.

This could be related to woody's hatred of birds

Charlie is the real gatekeeper, she traveled to gain support to fight against Maxwell and them, she failed and as a punishment Maxwell turned her into the night monster.

That makes no sense. The night monster is just what charlie became when she went to the constant. Maxwell became the king, charlie became the queen.

Well we don't know that for sure, no evidence that she did and no evidence that she didn't but I do agree.  I have another theory that hamlet, shipwreck and other areas were all linked and after what ever happened Maxwell split the place.

They are not separated. Wilson goes to the shipwrecked world with a regular boat, and uses a hot air balloon to get to hamlet. Hamlet is on the mountains seen in the Metheus puzels

I found who the gate keeper is!

All the clock works are based off something from the lore, and the knight and rooks originals have been found.

The clock work bishop is based off the gate keeper!

If you read the update poster for the doorway to adventure update, it call the clock work bishop a gate keeper. This seems like it means something. The gate keeper will probably have the same model of a bishop.

True. Also, the bishop have a very different attack unlike the others and a purple gem inside as extra piece.

So, that means that the real one have magic powers.
