Yunru
I'm unfortunately unable to play ONI at the moment due to both heating and budget issues, so could someone check/confirm for me that this would work as I think it should? To start with, we have a simple loop; from a water tank, to toilets, back to the tank. However, after the input on the tank we carry on to a vent. Now my question is, would water enter the tank until it's full, then journey to the overflow, or would it still split 50/50? Saturnus
You cannot loop polluted water into lavatories without a sieve. By tank do you mean the new water storage? If so then it only fills when the output is blocked. Otherwise it's just a bridge. In fact, just think of it as a bridge with a built-in buffer. Soulwind
You have to use a bridge to prioritize the tank with the vent being set as the overflow pipe Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/96321-closed-loop-water-generator/#findComment-1092442 Share on other sites

You're trying to set up a closed loop from your Lavatories and Sinks, to a Water Sieve, into a Reservoir, and back to the Sinks/Lavatories. However, because such a loop is mass-positive, an overflow is required. Is that correct? If so, then yes. It's my standard Lavatory loop I stet up each game. P-H2O flows to Sieves, through a Bridge, and into the Reservoir. From the Reservoir it returns to the Sinks/Lavatories, becoming Polluted again, to repeat the loop. Back to the Bridge. On the input side of the Bridge, continue the pipe to wherever your overflow location will be. The Bridge will be prioritized, so clean but germified Water will continue into the Reservoir and continue the loop, until it backs up. It will fill the Reservoir, then back up to the Bridge. When the output side of the Bridge is blocked, any additional clean but germified Water will follow the pipe to your overflow location. Oni Noob
Here is my setup The toilets creates more pwater compared to what it requirs so the extra pwater will be sent to my storage Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/96321-closed-loop-water-generator/#findComment-1092673 Share on other sites

The only difference on my normal system versus the one PhailRaptor just described is that I kick out my overflow before the sieve and store it as polluted water. It then gets dumped in either my Slush geyser or Aquatuner tanks to kill the germs. Nitroturtle
I've been just making my bathrooms with an overflow line going to a few Thimble Reeds. Sure, it wastes the generated water, but it makes for a very simple closed system that never needs to be touched after it's setup. Bridges get priority, so bridge off the line goes into the seive and then the overflow line goes off the white end of the bridge into the hydroponic tiles. Very simple to set up early, just needs a little water or pwater to get it started.
