Underlined is obvious..When I first started and had trouble with the guy I'd run to a forest and torch the ****er.. Now I just carry around a half stack of pinecones.. If he chases after you plant a bunch and he'll replant himself.. Surround with charcoal.. Set fire to charcoal..Or you can just remember where he planted himself and not cut wood near him so that he stays put.. Either way.. Avarice Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 I use the same tactic for him as I do the tentacle and tallbird.You run up and hit him a few times, and when he starts to attack you run back, let the attack finish and repeat until he's dead.You can get 3 hits before the Treeguard can strike back, 2 if you are a slow clicker. 1-2 on the tentacle, and infinite on the tallbird, since it gets stunlocked and can't attack as long as you keep hitting him.Do most of you just stand in front of the enemies and let them hit you? You should be able to get 3 hits in with a spear back up he attacks once repeat until dead. All else fails make a camp fire feed it until its burning really good then bait the optimispine through it. Doesn't hurt your health.. Just your sanity and that's easy to recover now. You're telling me if I behave like a tree hugger than the thing will replant its self? So in theory I can raise an army of these and send them into a pig town?
