Hamlet & SW should be combined.

They don't have a currency in Hamlet, the screenshots show you buy stuff with items.

Silvers (platinum ?) dubloon, golden dubloon.

You already have money. Also, i see no base on screenshot, neither i see any proof supporting whatever you are saying.

The screenshots show the selling points. Well done, genius. It's still DS, with the same crafting, basing & exploring. Again, the Hamlet is just ONE PART OF IT. However, to be fair, I did not notice they were dubloons. I was looking at that weird "popcorn" shaped thing when I saw the screenshot.

Thanks. As you see, there are also the other screenshots.

Prove it, with your official documents. Thanks.

I was looking at all of the screenshots, thanks. :)

Even the Teaser trailer (your main point, hm?) shows a Jungle full of enemies. How are you going to live in Hamlet if you can't base? You can't cross the world every 5 minutes to buy some food. It's stupid.

how a tropical DLC and a bigger deciduous-like city based DLC are related? SW and the Hamlet look completely different!!

Have you seen the Hamlet trailer?

The Deciduous City is based off El Dorado, which is why you can see the gold in the distance, and the golden idol. Didn't really take much thought, did it?

Steam Store page literally says the Hamlet is inside a TROPICAL JUNGLE. It's an El Dorado equivalent. Deciduous is just linked with the pigs.

"Look completely different" with a screenshot of trees identical to SW's Jungle trees minus the leaves, and with vine bushes in it? hmmm

No, the trailer isn't my main point, my main point is your lack of proof.

Maybe the point will be to buy food before going exploring, and having to manage danger well enough so you go as far as possible and bring as much treasures as possible.

A little like Darkest Dungeon (but in a lighter ambience), for the DD players here. You have a village, you have ruins and dangerous place to explore, you bring your treasure in the village and improve it.

To be fair, the tree have some resemblance.

Now I can see what you mean when you phrase it like that. It's a possibility, but I don't see it happening. Maybe, though.

not really...the hamlet's trees and the biome itself has a clear redish feel, they have red leaves and the branches look completely different (look like red pompoms really) from the top of the jungle trees. the "laso" thing around the Hamlet trees is a rosé climbing plant, while the jungle trees have veins around them.

Beides, SW is much brighter and has an unmistakeable greenish look

Both feel undeniably different to me.

The Dorado reference look not that clear to me really... a golden statuette doesn't connect SW and the Hamlet thematically.

Golden figurines were found across Europe and other tropical areas but they never had anything to do with "El Dorado", did they? and I have never found any refence to El Dorado in SW itself.

and where do you see vine bushes there? they looked like other bushes to me.. more alike to the top of the Hamlet redish tree tops

I could understand it. With a closer look, i see how the liana/vine/rope thing (i don't know the exact name, sorry) is different. The leaves are really different, but when i first saw the trailer, i thought "they look like shipwrecked jungle tree, except for the leaves". So i guess this first impression explain why i thought they were close.

honest mistake... but closer examination do show real differences there

About the the similarity between SW and Hamlet...

DSH1.jpg.e1b9ea91868ed927d8e4f2b6787a73fd.jpgwildboar.png.a0fe6c9c58ed8ff113c2134ddf33e657.png

I don't see any difference.

But to be honest, even the steam store page of DSH sais "a lost town of aristocratic Pigmen nestled within a foreboding tropical jungle". So both games do are in tropical jungles. However, the gameplay looks totally different, in SW you sail between islands, while in Hamlet you explore a civilization and its ruins.

So I don't think they will or should be united.

I don't get it, you posted a picture of Clark Kent & Superman.

Anyway, yes both games are in tropical jungles, Hamlet might have sailing, you don't know that yet. Ruins would add a lot to SW, and frankly SW world being repurposed as "pig world" would be a good thing.

For real the only hope is to pray a modder does this one day :). if Klei didn't want to port SW to DST then never in a thousand years will they merge Hamlet & SW together.

Personally, I would've loved to have all the Don't Starve content that exists in 1 giant world to make the game feel something like Skyrim where there's a vast world to explore & conquer, but alas it will never happen unless modders do it. Though, tbh most of the fanbase hates this idea & since modders are a part of the fanbase...basically the chance of any of this happening is 0% & I cry everytime.

I've been playing SW to check out the new content and sadly re encountering the crazy lag caused by wind + too many mobs, as when spiders, apes and snakes have a battle royale. Given the lag I get whenever it rains in DST (or monkeys), I can't even imagine the performance issues with a multiplayer SW.

Some more lucky  people have a strong PC & with that extra power would like to have amazing huge worlds filled with dozens of entities...like me. Though, I'm  sorry about your lag

I'm far from the only one to complain about the lag in SW, though. We can't all have old computers!

Developers confirmed it themselves in a bug report by Minespatch.

Took me a few minutes to realize what you were talking about.

Personally, let's see more gameplay before we jump to conclusions. We don't really have a ideahow the game will work besides a few gameplay stills. We have a while until 2018 comes.
