qb. Posted February 28, 2017 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Pretty much everything is in the title. With multiple compactors it is very unproductive to filter out same things in all of them. For example I usually place compactors for Algae near machines which use Algae. Same thing with Dirt or Coal, etc. Also when I place 'general purpose' compactors I need to check all but those above. Of course what I am suggesting here might be done via priority. But there are plenty of times when player wants priority of compactors to be the same (this way dupes won't go ridiculous distance to get some coal if he/she could take some sandstone nearby and deliver to compactor nearby). For now, it's easy to handle since there are few resources but a copy-paste will be needed if the add more materials. In this case I think being able to multiselect similar buildings and any change made in the right tooltip bar applies to all selected buildings. I don't want to hack in my way in alpha version of the game. In my opinion ability to place working compactor on the surface of airlock is a bug. I will look for tricks and cheats more seriously when game status will change to 'official release'. edit: FYI recent update has just removed this 'feature'.
