Reddst
I still plan to make a guide eventually- this base is a design based on my original cycle 100+ base merged with the idea of a roof for hydrogen by a streamer named cptcalavera found here https://www.twitch.tv/videos/123491436 I have tons more screenshots since the time I chose my characters on my steam page here http://steamcommunity.com/id/RedstoneSV/screenshots/?appid=0&sort=newestfirst&browsefilter=myfiles&view=imagewall (Note further in is my previous world and my 3 "learning the game worlds") I do not plan to restart this and I will keep it going as far as I can, I will probably add more dupes than the only 6 I ever had because there is no good source of energy besides the hamster wheels so they will just be power workers. My one tip for you is to always choose destructive if stressed so you don't get a nuke of puke that just makes everybody stressed. benkeiaa
just fyi currently the game has no big effect from inhaling contaminated oxygen so currently you will just want to dig trough the green colored tiles, im at 200 cycle and reached 3 edges of the asteroid, dont worry about purifying oxygen and you don´t need clean water for anything to important. also the vomiting guys aren´t as bad, when all your base is made of the permeable tiles, vomit only remain in the lowest part of you base, and if you put a permeable tile over a normal tile all vomit is out of reach from anyone so no worries of steping on it. temperature will be the next thing you will have trouble with, be careful when digging pinkish colored tiles eventually you will run out of places where to set up your plants as your base turn hotter and hotter

Cooling works somewhat but the energy maintenance...

Issue i faced right now - making steam not a problem, problem now - to cool it without too many energy consummation (thermo cooler for gas take too many energy) and getting decent amount water from it. From my experiments for now even if i have many steam, i still cant get enough water from it (it bring very small amount), i am not sure but can be there again some losses after conversion from liquid -> gas -> liquid states. I will be doing more experiments for this, but waiting for next patch for gasses (looks like some amount of it losing again upon transmitting via pipes)

For now any tile build will keep the temperature the resource had it was build with. So if you make a room, cool the air in there, put some granite or something in there and let it cool down. Now when the resources has desired temp you go build with it. It will stay at that temp, influence the surrounding air accordingly and the tile itself will NEVER rise or decrease in temperature. This can ofcourse also be done with a hot room to create your infinite tiles of hell.

Headnut
Very nice base, I have two questions: 1: why do you build an extra room for your plants, is it because of atmosheric pressure? Does the denser oxygen make them grow differently? 2: how are you able to play 115 cycles in a base without sweeping ? atleast the bedrooms? ^^

Materials lying around massively lower decor value. At least try to keep it clean at the start. When you reach Barf Central(TM) stage it doesn't matter too much anymore though. Depends how stable the temperature there will be though. And travel loss.
