i used a full book of tentacles around the bee queen, hammered away and then just stood there while the tentacles destroyed her and every grumble bee she spawned. there are still plenty of tentacles left for the next fight.

i think i may expand my tam o' shanter business to include bee queen crowns too (free jelly beans with purchase!)

video or it didnt happen

So? You just run around the tentacles. You may get stung a couple of times, but nothing compared to what it would be to fight her straight on.

When the beequeen  moved to the main branch, I tried a solo with Wolfgang and two lureplants. It took me almost tree days, a couple of thule suits and beekeper hats, over 5 dragonpies and a whole bunch of other food to keep his mighty form and heal.

With wicker and her tentacles, the fight was done in 1 day, all I needed was a beekeper hat and armor, which only took a couple of hits, 1 pie to heal my wounds after and a bunch of sanity restoration to get my sanity up before the fight.

I combined lureplants for the annoying warrior bees and the tentacles for a more devastating effect :) but this was BEFORE the new thingy with the honey trail that slows you down... that's very different!

I've tried this after that and I can't make it happen...

If you can reproduce this with current stats and make a vid, it would be pretty awesome :)

Will try to make a video after the holidays. I got to fight the queen only after the honey trail was added, so I haven't tried any other way.

well, it will be a while before she regrows her hive.

TheWorld.net.components.clock:OnUpdate(16*30*x)

Skips x days. Change x to skip more days or parts of days (e.g. 16*30*4.5 to skip 4.5 days) WARNING: Too big values may freeze the game. (Depending on computer speed)

Replace the "x" with 20.... tará

It is a very crappy recording but it's all I can do on my laptop currently. You can skip to ~13 mins for the fight. And OBS left an interesting artifact at the bottom of the video xD

Niiiiice! I didn't know that planted grass could be used to spawn tentacles so close together and at the same time creating a "safe" zone... This is news to me!

The bee queen targets you as a priority.

Hopefully this changes OP's mind:

This is a cheese strat for sure, but it is definitely viable and probably among the most cost effective strategies.

I disagree, it's a proper strategy that can be used to kill a single creature. I imagine this strategy can also be used to kill Klaus as well, but never tried it.

If you combine it with the other "cheese" strat of getting his deers stuck on signs, it should work, but I haven't tried it either. The reason I say it's cheese is because yo don't do the actual fighting. Basically any strategy where you don't approach a fight the way you are supposed to from a development standpoint is cheese IMO, but let's not fight over technicalities :) I realize it is totally legal according to the game rules. It's just not something I'm proud of after finishing the fight :)

I would love to see you record these two strategies implemented side by side to make the klaus fight extremely easy.

Still choppy AF, but rejoice:

The first few times trying this, the deers actually went trough as I was not sure on perfect placement for the signs and walls, so I let them die to the tentacles and Klaus enraged. He still had his bottom whooped though XD

@FreyaMaluk I also solo'd Bee Queen using two On Tentacles books and grass walls. You can play with the shape of the walls formation.

I put most of the tentacles on the space at my left, there are A LOT of them still there. The tentacles that happened to spawn at the other sides of the walled area helped while the Bee Queen went these directions. She refused to get into the big trap for a bit, but as soon as she crossed it she went rip :(

Also Summer fighting yey. But there is no problem, this Ice Queen has her tools.

Really fun strat and it didn't take too long, joined the server day 12 and had this up right before deerclops. I used three books and an 8x8 of stone walls. I found that sometimes when i used on tentacles I didn't spawn any tentacles, but my strat was to run around in circles as much as I could she fell within a day. Thanks for sharing @pofil.

No problem dude! I didn't invent the strategy. I just polished it a bit. Found in in this thread where there are several others. I do beleive this is the most practical one though:

You could also use a berry bush hat after the queen gets hit by tentacles and she loses aggro. I found this more tedious though. Maybe simply because I hate the berry bush hat with a passion since my early day DS ruin raiding.
