What do you think about toadstool?

Please get me back as soon as you can.

Thanks,

SUPERCHICKEN64

Toadstool is a boss that requires a lot of skill, practice and timing, probably more timing that bosses where you need to be all time counting 5 seconds to run away and dodge and attack like dragonfly.

Is a really fun,and epic fight. But you need one of this 3 things:

2 players,1 MUST be Woddie.

1 Player and a lot of weather pains.

4 different players

Also get as many armors and dark swords as you can

Build as many bunnymen hutches near the arena as possible, they'll do a ton of damage.

You'll need around 10 weather pains to kill him alone,15 if you are with a weak character.

Try to make a ice box near the arena and put there as much food as you can,the battle will take a while.

Make a lot of cobblestones flooring for the arena.

Thats more or less the list of things i used to kill him in solo,i heard of people that take care of the sporecaps by burning them, but that seems just too dificult, also you'll need timing for the third state to dodge the stomp attack,if you are 2 or 3 players you won't need this many resources.

It doesn't have to be a woodie if 2 players. You can use weather pains instead of Woodie, and until Phase 3, the Maxwell loggers do the job decently too(in phase 3 the slams just shred them). Woodie is not needed in any scenario, he's just one of the good choices.

You don't have to have bunnymen but they do a good job. I tnink Phase 3 shreds them too though.

Also wait "around 10 weather pains to kill him alone"...You're using them on the toad to deal damage?

Cobbles aren't needed either.

Usually the Toad arena setup has an ice box(since his spores will cause any food on you to spoil so much faster) and Dwarf Stars from the Star Caller Staff and...that's it. On top of that you want armor(Not Marble though, since Toad unlike Dfly and Queen Bee actually requires to dodge), and a bunch of dark swords(not ludicrous amounts though), and Weather Pains for the Trees he spawns.

Obiously you can do it with just 1 player being woodie,5 players with normal axes,1 with weather pains or a mix of all of them. The same about the cobbles and the bunnymen, you don't need ALL of the stuff on the list i made but when more stuff you have the better (Don't know if i explained that well)

And yeah you don't need 10 weather pains,on one of my tries i got to the third phase having only used 2 weather pains, but i said 10 thinking on the fact that i had around 30 bunnymen hutches, dark swords and the cobblestone flooring and that other people may play has characters with less damage (Wendy or Wes),also if it starts raining during the fight or it is winter the battle will get REALLY long.

Other item that helps a lot is the eyebrella in case it starts raining.

This was done before the nerf.

All bless Joeshmo!

Toad's AI has changed alot since then. This bunnyman method isn't gona work "as well as it was" anymore.

1)Toad nolonger takes forever to walk to the center just to summon more sporecap. It will spend about 10 secs to get near the center, then he will just begin summoning sporecap nonmatter how far he is from the center.

2) Bunnyman panic whenever there are sporecaps around.

So, beginning of the fight, bunnyman can help take down some of toad's HP. As soon as he start summoning sporecap, bunnyman won't be able to do much form that point. Most of the time the bunnyman will be panicking, and will die after taking some random damage from all the sporecloud and boomshrooms laying around toad.

Well, that stuff about a changing toadstool may be true... but really i just wanted to say that the bunnymen method didn't work before really anyways.

And this works on the current version of toadstool?

Not sure. Been a month since the girl has posted the video. Don't think there were any update that breaks the mechanics used here so I think this still works.

Don't even know the minimum numbers of flingomatic required to pull this strat off. May not be a preferable way, nonetheless it is one way to solo it.

To find the toadstool, you have to explore the caves looking for three set pieces like the one in this video. Two will have holes in the middle and one will have a purple mushroom. That's the one where the toadstool lives.
