Can't Tesla Trees make into DST?

Recommended Posts

Well, the title explains by itself.

As far as it seems, devs are trying to find alternate ways of getting Gears, which you can clearly see with the new Marble Sculpture mechanics. Additionally, Tesla Trees were scrapped during RoG development, and DST has RoG built in.

ANR hasn't touch anything on the RoG part (yet), but if/when it does, couldn't them make into the game?           90?cb=20140316145833

And I also wonder why. They looked really cool...

Inb4 it's planned content for A New Reign

Maybe they thought gears should stay valuable and the trees or biome felt like a two easy of a way to get gears but I would like it in Dst because you have a lot more resource strain

A d maybe they thought it didn't fit with the wilderness theme cause it seems more steampunkish also you barely use the goat horns for much so  maybe they thought it was a waste to make,a whole biome

They could have changed their minds inbetween RoG and SW, but anyway.

I don't think they would simply reject a feature because it would make a uncommon resource become abundant, mainly because what they did in SW, where in the first 60 days you can pretty much get a full stack of gears if you start killing sea life earlier, plus the fact the sea life respawns AND you often get over 6 gears per creature that spawns the Floaty Boaty Knights

Could always make them slow to grow, or rare, or drop some item which you need a lot of in order to refine into a Gear.
...though, from the appearance, I always thought they'd drop electrical items like Electrical Doodads or Frayed Wires or something. Part of the reason for not going forward with implementation being that the former doesn't have much use, and the later would just act as a gold farm.

Maybe one of the bosses drop a tesla tree stand. Then you gotta add 1 gear in and it will spawn a small sapling inside. In order to grow, a lighting must hit that sapling(which will work like a lighting rod during all the time) maybe 3 times until it reaches the tall size and drop 3 gears.
