Despite ive found many uses for most books, I haven't found any insightful and cost effective strategic uses for "The End is Nigh!" other than overcharging a fellow WX (not that its a bad use, of course).

Is it good as a straightforward lightning damage weapon? My experiences with it as a weapon were not exactly worth it, the damage didn't seem like much and although affected mobs bursted into flames, the overall damage was mostly "meh" and I felt I would have made more damage by putting them all to sleep with STS and start hitting them one by one with a dark sword.  In any case its quite possible I'm not using it at the right time or with the right mobs.
I don't usually try to get milk out of the volt goats either, so thats probably the second good use I'm missing out. I did use it to power up a few lightning rods, making them glow for a few nights, but it still seemed a bit of a waste, as I always feel I could have made a life giving amulet with that red gem, and more STS or "on tentacles" with the papyrus, instead.

Anyway I'm curious, do you have some special strategy with this specific book, beyond boosting the robot friend, that can be shared? Weaponized book tips, gets bonus potato cups.

You could always use it to kill players on public PvE servers just for the laughs! :D

I have seen people use it after using birds of the world but I never saw that as being really worth making the book for so really I think the only good use for it (other than Wx-78) is getting electric milk.

7 uses for The End is Nigh! :

1 - Light a gunpowder. (Fire staff/ Torch is for noobs)

2 - Bring pain for those stupid pigs.

3 - Bring pain for those stupid spiders.

4 - Bring pain for everything. (including you)

5 - Burn that merm house. (If  you try to torch it you will be hit by the merms and also, as stated before, torch is for noobs)

6 - Befriend WX-78.

7 - Befriend Willow.

7.1 - Bring pain to those freaking monke- wait, it doesn't work on the caves? I BLAME KLEI FOR THAT! RAISE THE FORKS!

7.2 - Show those dupes who is boss.

I hate splumonkeys

It's a fairly old PVP tactic. Major downsides is being the large amount of preparation needed, and being very costly on resources. It's also a gamble since you don't wear armor yourself. And much like any other PVP strategy, the ultimate counter is always running away or logging out... We still need some kind of fix for that...

There's multiple examples of this out there, but I always liked this one in particular.

*Edit: Forgot to mention that a good counter for someone logging out is to read On Tentacles... Which is very costly, and there is no garuntee of the person coming back to begin with...
