Next DLC

I believe Klei needs to add a story mode. I think that a story mode is the biggest missing part of Shipwrecked. If we had a proper story mode like we did in ROG, we would be very well off. Not saying that we're not but it would have made things even better. In addition, I have to bump the idea of having a separate caving system in Shipwrecked. I feel like we lost a lot of the special quirks of ROG in exchange for the ability to surf on SW.

I do agree that knowing that gold and flint will some day run out in SW worlds is sad. Meanwhile, DS and RoG worlds can feed the pigking forever for gold for tools and live forever from that. Moreover, the earthquakes DO make flint renewable.

So yeah... we can not live in a tropical (murderous and dangerous) paradise forever... I guess that you could always start in SW, find the seaworthy, go into RoG, find a cave and the pigking, farm flint and gold there and THEN come back to SW with a full player inventory of gold stacks.

But if that is the point, why not just live forever in a RoG world?

I just wished we had renewable gold and flint but still keep the nerf on wigfrid. (this might be imposible...)

When it comes to add RoG and SW flavor into the current "adventure mode". I agree. It would be nice to see some of the chapters include aspects or be fully based on new mechanics. More randomness makes it harder to prepare for the next chapter :D

However, I think Klei might want to justify something like this through lore and that could be time consuming, specially since they are still working on fixing DST.

EDIT: I just realised that you could farm obsidian through lava pools and ice for infinite tools. I also get that you can melt doins into gold and trade with the octupus for gold, but that looks too slow for me...

Eh, sw is so dull you'll connect worlds anyway.

There's something I've been thinking about and I kind of hope TtA will implement it.

Can you really call Them evil if They don't share the same concept of evil as we do?

Some of Them could be sympathetic to our characters while others could have fun messing with our favorite characters.

What if from Their perspective, Maxwell refused to pay for Their help in the ways of magic and They trapped him as punishment for the theft and misuse of Their power?

This is actually a pretty interesting idea.

I think an interesting DLC would be some sort of scenario where it's made to look like they've been returned to the human world only to find it's just an alternate kind of Don't Starve world with more of an abandoned town feel based on their memories. It could be a good excuse to get backstory on the characters and give us a different kind of place to survive in.

Hot lava cave @MarkL and a ruins nightmare world DLC

Or could be a kind of circus on ruins with full nightmares and creatures

And Shipwrecked needs a skull entrance cave, in the caves shipwrecks new creatures etc

Omg Yes. That description brings me back to The curse of monkey island..

Don't Starve: In Space, you build a rocket and go the moon

Don't Starve: In Hell, you build a nightmare portal and travel the 7 circles of hell

Don't Starve: Prehistorik, you build a time machine and fight dinosaurs and cavemen

Don't Starve: Atlantica, you go underwater and learn more about mermen

I could go on...

hey guys

what do you think the next DLC could be?

I damn hope Shipwrecked wasn't the last one, because my wallet is all open to Klei! you're all amazing

any ideas, or suggestions?

No no no. Not another new DLC. Just pls fix SW first. It is literally full of bugs you can catch them and make the Glossamer's Saddle.

A story mode

To SW?

I feel like SW doesn't need a story mode. Plus, there isn't even a main antagonist in SW as far as I'm concerned. Just that Parrot that "compliments" your sailing skills. I can't see a way they can make a SW story mode without adding and removing some aspects. Don't Starve already has a normal story mode anyways, and Shipwrecked's only goal is to get back to the normal world of RoG with your fancy doo-hickies and flamey machetes. What will the story in SW be about? The Parrot? Long story short, SW doesn't need a story mode. If there was a DLC, I'd rather see one that adds a Story Mode to Don't Starve Together. Personal Opinion, of course.
