I've got to say it, Wilson really does live up to his title of "The Gentleman Scientist". While I'd be pretty wary to trust any of the Don't Starve characters, Wilson finally strikes me as a good guy (I know this may be obvious, but keep on reading). He may seem a bit arrogant or self-glorifying at times (The sign outside his house that reads "Genius at work" and his quotes like "He's part of my entourage" don't really help, unless that's just his sense of humor, which I'd totally get), I think that he is a well meaning person who has compassion. Freeing Maxwell from the Nightmare Throne was one example, but the other example I saw just last night. Despite everything Maxwell has done to him, and despite how angry he is at Maxwell (he just tried to beat the beefalo droppings out of him), he still shares some of his food with Maxwell, and doesn't even say anything about it. It's a small act, but I think it meant a lot to Maxwell. He probably hasn't experienced even a thought of kindness since he got trapped on that throne.

So here's to Wilson P. Higgsbury! Even if he may never get the toast of the scientific community, he's welcome at my camp anytime! Here here!

Except most of the people who are new to Don't starve together, and join a random server, pick Wilson...

It's probably because Wilson thought that, by getting him out of the throne he would go home and fighting with Maxwell won't solve anything (or for the sake of gameplay). I refuse to believe Wilson would just forgive someone who betrayed him twice. At least half of the cast shouldn't be trusting Maxwell.

Oh I'm not saying he forgave Maxwell, I'm just saying he was being surprisingly considerate.

Oh yes, you know that somebody is a thoroughly kind person when said person tries to chop your head off.

Well, Wilson did drop the ax before attacking Maxwell. Honestly, I think he thought it would be more satisfying to kill him with his bare hands, buuuuut he technically didn't try to cut off his head, so. . .  ;)

Either way, I think he may have been more considerate than many other people would have. Or maybe he was hoping Maxwell would choke on the kabob, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and trust that isn't the case. :D
