Share your stuff about the new giant !!!

I have to apologize for not taking a screenshot right after I killed him. It was pretty scary, I died twice before figuring out how to kill him.

He drops Turbine Blades, Magic Seal and some meat(i got 3 but it was night when I killed him and hounds came swimming at me) Screenshots:

Anybody knows what to do with the Magic Seal?

Ps.: The day count doesn't reset after a world hop. Is that intended? The first hound wave had 2, next one had like 8 of them...

I used a test world to figure out the Sealnado's attack pattern.  He has 2 attacks; one is a basic melee, the other has different effects depending on whether you're sailing or not.  If you get far away enough, but stay within his "range", he will charge towards you.  As far as I know, the charge itself doesn't deal any damage; but directly after charging, he will melee attack.

In the ocean, his special move is essentially a bullet hell attack; he will suck in waves from all directions, then shoot them out again really quickly.  On land, it's a bit more complicated; he will start charging up the attack instead of using it immediately.  When he uses it, he will suck the player in, and deal massive damage.  To avoid this attack, you have to get an object in between you and the Sealnado.

Now I just have to figure out how swinging a pointy stick at a tornado can kill it.

I killed him on a boat, I couldn't kill him on land.

When on land he has this sucking attack(yes, sucking...), that sucks you in and after some time he deals a ton of dmg to you ,takes away your weapon and some items in your inventory too.

On water instead of sucking in everything he just creates waves so dodge the waves and then kite him(i did 1 hit and run, was on armoured boat with snake sail). I used the cutlass supreme.

Don't kill the seal guys 0-0

The magic seal can craft 2 things, one that speeds your boat while you hold it and another that creates wind, none really useful.

It instantly spawns Krampus, but for me it isn't worth the try because the sack is too rare and the seal is hard to get. I just wish we could pick it up or lead it so I could bring it to my base because it is soooo cute! I might just risk a fight at my base so the seal appears there.

The turbine blade is awesome. The iron wind is the best sail so you want to kill sealnado on your first hurricane season for the turbine.

I also would get the speed boost, although I wonder then what is better: Sail stick or Walking cane(does walking cane work on a boat?)

Just had a run in with this guy and tbh i'm not a big fan of it.

Fighting it on the Water seems extremly clunky i can't get 1 hit in without the Sealnado hitting me back and wrecking my boat.

And don't get me started on landcombat was just going a tad to far to the left pf my Island after having that thing destroy my boat and suprise suprise he's there and instantly sucks me in without a warning killing me in the process (Maxwell so i expected that at this point).

Dunno i feel like the suck in attack is really more suited for the Water but on land it's just bull as he has maybe a brief period of a warning before he just sucks you in and i guess it will kill almost anyone that isn't Wolfgang or Wigfrid.

Also just looked at the stats and 3000 HP seems a bit much for the amount of trouble he makes. Specialy when you consider that the only Giants in RoG that got this much HP are Bearger and Moose/Goose both being on the easier side of the Giants.

Baiscly what i'm saying is that he should have a bit lower HP considering that he's harder then a lot of the other Giants and his suck attack needs a better tell to not instantly kill players if you didn't notice it in time.

He's decently easy to deal with. I managed to tank him down with a football helmet, log armour and a Dark Sword. That's without any fancy dodging or anything.

Again i was playing as Maxwell so facetanking any boss is a stupid idea on my behalf. Even with Dark Armor and Sword i can't just take it i need to be able to dodge the bosses attacks properly or else i'm dead and the Sealnado no matter where i fight it makes this task a major pain in the A**.

Are you using WASD keys to move and F key to attack? Try it.

No point in making giants easier to kill than they already are, honestly. I'm looking forward to the Kraken fight.

Yeah i use WASD and F to fight but apprently that doesn't work on a Boat (tried it a couple of times and i would not target the Sealnado).

Yeah, this thing is basically death unless you are already standing in an area perfect for fighting him.  I got attacked at night during a hurricane, and even doing the best I could I was still nearly 0 san when the tree I was hiding behind broke in the wind.  Of course his stupid destroy everything attack just killed me instantly, so there went another game.

How exactly are you supposed to fight anything on water?  You can barely move, and any water enemy can move faster than you can on land.  Any hit damages both you and the boat, and you cant fix the boat when you're on it.

So is the next big thing in the game just going to instantly sink the island your on?
