As soon as the wires were connected, a buzzing sound emanated from within the drone. A puff of steam burst out of a vent and the drone levitated off of Famen's hand. It seemed a little unstable due to the rain and wind, but it seemed mostly alright. It floated there for a moment analyzing Famen and Gilda and then spoke, "Welcome to Lord Lyle Ashby's humble estate! What are your names?"

The drone hovered for a moment, most likely processing the question. Raindrops made it wiggle here and there, "You didn't come here to see Lord Lyle Ashby?" The drone was obviously not capable of fluent conversation as it kept pausing to think about the situation, "Are you migrators? Shipwrecked? Are there more of you? Do you need assistance?"

Crab walked back over to Kade, wearing a white collar around the front end of his body. He was also holding a tiny bible and a cross, and started raising it while clacking the bible open and closed, creating a message in binary.

*01000010 01100101 01100111 01101111 01101110 01100101 00101100 00100000 01100101 01110110 01101001 01101100 00100000 01110011 01110000 01101001 01110010 01101001 01110100 00100001*

The drone was quick to reply, "Of course! Although, I am not the one who should be doing so. I am just a utility drone; you will want to speak with T.U.R.N.E.R., Lord Lyle Ashby's greatest creation. I'm afraid I am not receiving his signal from anywhere. Something must have happened to him."

The utility drone didn't seem to be caught up with the times. It probably didn't even realize it was inactive all this time and was just doing routine maintenance around the estate. "Don't your fellow shipwrecked mates need a place to stay? I will take all of you to the manor and T.U.R.N.E.R. will make sure you are all situated and comfortable. I'll need some assistance with finding him though..."

Kade blinked at the crab, the binary going completely over his head, and then watched as he tumbled out of one of the holes. He shrugged.

Kate was going over to the crate when the boat tipped. She failed her arms a little before falling on her butt with an 'oof'.

Now that the boat had leveled out, Kate stood back up and went over to Noctimus, who seemed hurt. "Oh no... what's wrong?" she asked in a concerned baby-talk tone and she gently scooped him up in her arms. "Here, let me see." Kade stood up and started looking at the pup in her arms, noticing that he was holding one of his legs like it hurt. He gently took it and straightened it out, when suddenly a stiff, shadowy ring formed around the injury, holding it still like a splint. Both siblings widened their eyes in surprise. "Whoa," Kade pulled his hand back, looking at his fingers. "How did..." Did... did her brother have powers too now?

(Yeah, I'm going to have to make Kade a character sheet so I have an actual list of powers and weaknesses for him and he doesn't just end up being an Ex-Machina generator.)

Spoiler

Name: Kade

Race: Nightmare fuel puppet

History: (If you want to keep it a secret that's fine): Kade is dead. He was gone before she ever entered this world. This Kade is an empty husk, born out of a deal with a demon and puppeted by the mind of a broken girl, desperately clinging to the last thread that held her shattered psyche together. He is not alive. He is not real. He is merely the product of desperation, denial, and fading memories.

Personality: This Kade is completely controlled by Kate's mind, making it's personality a sort of mix between what she remembers him acting like and how she feels at the moment. He can be thought of as the girl's guardian; protecting her and keeping her calm as best he can.

Appearance: The resemblance between Kade and Kate is quite apparent, with them both having similar facial features and hairstyles, though with his not quite as messy. Kade is a bit paler than her sister though, and lacks her freckles, his hair is an almost black brown and without the redish tint, and his eyes are the same dark brown color as his hair. Being five years older, he's also a good bit taller than her. Strangely enough, he isn't emaciated like she is; her mind probably prefers to remember him that way.

If Kate's sanity were to dwindle or she became unconscious, however, his true appearance would start to show through. His real body is nothing more than a spindly, humanesque shadow with a featureless face and empty white eyes.

Strengths: Being composed of nightmare fuel, Kade can use pieces of himself to transform certain objects or just make completely new ones. (Ex: turning a stick into a nightmare sword, or forming a splint for an injured Nightmare pup).

The insanity of others around him empowers and repairs him, replacing any bits of himself that were used up.

He does not need to eat.

He can be wherever Kate needs him to be whenever she wasn't; essentially being capable of teleportation.

Weaknesses: Obviously, he can only transform or create objects to a certain point because he's using pieces of himself to do so.

Kate doesn't know what Kade is or what he's capable of, so neither does he. This makes his abilities unpredictable and unreliable.

He has limited interaction with his environment and the people around him, and can only be seen by the insane or other shadows. This can be a good or a bad thing depending on your perspective.

Etc: I may edit this later if I think of more abilities/weaknesses.
