Gyx happily dived off the boat, but landed face flat on the ground, with all his limbs stretched out. Shortly afterward, the crab crawled onto the back of Gyx's head, and poked him twice.

(Is it dead?!?!  Hurrah!)

Viridis still had a need for some fresh water, but the water the Mangrove trees were in was also not clean. She jumped off it, and realized that she was on an island. Surely, there had to be some normal earth somewhere...

(Can we get a map of this island? I'm having trouble visualizing what it looks like.)

Wiffleball recoiled in mild disgust from the stinking half of fish Noctimus was feasting on, but seemed grateful that Jaw was treating his friend nicely. Wait...that was the same shark-monster from a few days ago! He gave a small wave, wondering if they recognized him.

Still looking around for some normal earth, Viridis heard Mark wish everyone goodbye. Was he not coming? She then had an idea! He always talked about water, he must know how to find it. Viridis made her way back on the boat, grabbed Mark, and jumped down on the island. "We are... going to find water." She said, holding Mark's arm and with her tail and walking forward.

The dragon limps off the ship. She wanted to walk around, stretch her legs a bit, and put a bit of distance between herself and the others to ease the tension on her nerves. It was a strain to keep her more feral instincts in check when she was this injured.

Kate was unsure of what she wanted to do. She didn't really care for sitting around on a ship anymore, but she didn't really want to go exploring either, at least not by herself. Then she remembered what she had been meaning to do for a few days now; go fishing. After scanning the deck for Trevor, she went downstairs to see him curled up under his jacket, sleeping. She stood for a moment, pondering nervously weather to wake him up or not. Ultimately, she decided against it. She was a little afraid he might be mad or annoyed if she woke him. Instead, she opted to find the pole if she could without rousing him and borrow it for a few minutes. He had been more than happy to lend it to her earlier, so surely he wouldn't mind.

Wiffleball looked out at the vast marsh, with the oddly-shaped mangrove trees scattered here and there. So they were going to find buried treasure out there, huh? That sounded like fun. Well, that, and he was pretty sick of being on the boat. Treasure hunting was much more exciting than being cooped up in the hold, after all. Maybe Kate could come with him, too! He went to go look for her.
