"You can't have anyone on this ship!" She took her hand away from Jaw's mouth only to have him continue screaming. She then clasped his mouth shut again. ----- Wheke wondered if his/her mother cared that s/he was being threatened by this sea creature... Wheke fantasised of a daring rescue performed their mother and her sister to rescue them. Wheke didn't know where his/her mother even was however. Wheke had trouble going that deep, the Yarrcotpus blames his/her father, a land dwelling air-breather. Wheke wondered if they'd live to meet their father. At this rate, probably not. Wheke lost their grip and fell off the mast with an ungraceful thud. Then, alerted by his sudden stillness, she looked down and saw that her friend had gone limp. She shook him lightly, confused, but he didn't move. What... What was wrong? Was he ok? Had she hurt him somehow? The commotion snapped her out of her half-daze and alerted her to the people being taken away. That he was letting be taken away. Her head swivled around to the smaller sea monster, meeting his eyes with a glare. This was his fault. In a large radius around Kate, the air began to shimmer and wobble, like it does in the distance on a really hot day, and it became uncomfortably warm. They may be nothing but ants to them, but ants bite back when they're messed with.
