"Oh, that... is very... kind of you." She said, and killed the crab with her claws before chowing down. "Giving... the dragon some of... my resources was quite... draining." The dragon shook her head no at the crab offering; she wasn't hungry. ~~~~~~ Kate didn't know what was going on. Why did the dragon kill someone? Who was it? Why was the sea monster dumping a red pile of sand on the ship? She felt sick to her stomach. (You have to remember Kate was asleep when Julia revealed herself, and then she his for the rest of the battle. She knows almost nothing about what's going on.) Spoiler (This is all the more sad for me, since I've actually seen a puppy in a similar situation to this. We had two puppies, a sister and a brother, and the brother got run over by a car. When we went to bury him, the sister was whimpering and pacing around his hole, like she didn't know he was dead and wanted us to stop putting dirt on him.) The dragon saw the boat back in the jaws of the sea serpent and deduced that they wanted to leave.
