"Saved your life. Now you're my servant. Go get me all the shinnies!" Now that the humanish fish looked better and she had all the salt she wanted at the moment, the dragon decided to get back to sniffing all the peoples to get acquainted with them and their scents.

Kate gave the sea monster a weird look. Wait, did it expect her to eat it?! She couldn't do that! It talked and stuff, like a person, but she had no idea how to explain that. "I, uh, Y-yes, I want to keep it, but not as food." She felt a tug on the line, quickly pulled up, and started reeling it in like last time.

After a few moments of reeling, Kate caught...a familiar, waterlogged rabbit, carrying a medley of colorful coral shards in its arms. The fishing hook was skewered through its back, holding it aloft as it proudly displayed its findings. The fabric apparently wasn't very strong, though, since it began tearing under the weight of the seawater almost immediately. Wiffleball winced as it clung tighter to the coral bits, unable to free itself without dropping its collection into the water below.

Kate's eyes widened and she quickly took her friend off the hook, kneeling down and setting him on the deck. She began gently trying to squeeze some of the water out of him so he wasn't so heavy. After a bit of sputtering g, Kate gave up trying to figure out how to explain why his gift wasn't food. "Because I want to that's why. And you gave it to me, so it's mine and I can do what I want with it." She said exasperatedly.

{Keep in mind Wheke is a complete idiot and at this point thinks all humans are called Trevor because Trevor is the first human s/he met}

"WHY ARE WE YELLING ABOUT CHILDREN?!" Wheke turned from Kate to Trevor, then turned back to Kate. "WHERES FOOD?!" Surely they didn't mean the big snake.

Gilda watched the large winged lizard for a moment and then stood up. She went over to it and tapped it's thigh.

Gilda looks back to Jaw getting her attention. "O-oh... Thank you..." She looked at the small colourful fish in her hands. She felt rather dependant... She set out to make herself useful and ended up getting fed and rescued. Rather pathetic...

(How I do engloosh?)

Famen looked at the dragon for a minute, but considering everything that happened that day, wasn't that surprised. He walked over to Wheke, with his best fish greeting face on. "Hi, I'm Famen." He said, offering a handshake.

The dragon saw that the big black head was staring at her, so she sat down and stared back. After a while of awkward blank staring she felt something tap her leg. She turned her head around to look at what tapped her without moving the rest of her body.

(Wait, people who do smart-sounding quotes roleplay too?  Well, suddenly my life doesn't seem so pathetic!

"Kiersten Fay is the author of the steamy romance series, Shadow Quest, in which she combines paranormal and sci-fi with loose concepts from lore and myth..."

Never mind, it's still pathetic.)

"Ok ok ok. Here's the gist of things. I am called Trevor, but not all of my species is called Trevor. Anyway, I, Trevor, would like to be friends with you. When you are friends with someone, it means you help each other out and don't try to kill each other. Now this is just an offer, and you can still decline it. Now, am I going to fast for you?" He said.

Gilda looked up at the lizard. "Thank you..." Then turned and sat beside bottom of the stairs that went up to the mast and steering wheel and ate her fish.

"I have hundreds of friends!" Wheke boasted. "Like.... The orange sea hound that walks! I shall allow you to be my friend also." Wheke beamed and gave Trevor a grin.

Trevor was overjoyed to hear that they would be friends. He beamed the biggest grin that he could. "Alright! Now everybody. I don't know about you, but I'm starving, and I will not be eating raw fish tonight! We need to build some sort of fire without burning the boat down. Any ideas?" he announced.

"go...to land.  Not safe...on water."  Meritursas says, picking up the boat in his teeth (accompanied by more painful wood-cracking sounds).  He starts dragging himself across the reef, hissing in pain over the sharp coral jutting into his skin.
