And now the scenario:

Player 1: "Hey man, let's play catch!"

Player 2: "What should we use? Rocks?"

Player 1: "Let's use a boomerang!"

Player 2: "Okay, throw it."

*they throw the boomerang back and forth for 10 minutes (in Don't Starve time)

Player 1: "Here it comes again!"

Player 2 (hit by boomerang): "OW, WTF man?"

*Player 2 is now dead*

Alternate ending (for teh lulz):

Player 1: "Here it comes again!"

*Player 2 misses and it flies back and hits a group of convenient treeguards*

*Player 1 runs*

Correct me if I'm wrong, but boomerangs are heat-seeking aren't they? So there'd be no way to dodge it since they'll chase their target forever. I think making it catchable would be the only feasible response to protecting yourself from it. Lag will probably be irritating though.

I personally can't wait to assemble a roving band of boomerang executioners - chasing down and slaughtering some poor sap who had the misfortune to be born with only two hands.

What about using a telelocator staff?

I threw a boomerang once at a bird that flew away immediately. The result was that the boomerang flew off screen. When I caught up to it I found it just floating in place with the spinning animation and everything. I'd imagine teleporting would have the same effect.

I'm just calling it now - boomerang death squads will totally be a thing.

I's like to apply for the BDS sir!
