I was thinking of a charecter that would be valuable in both single and multiplayer mode. A field medic.

It's related to the multiplayer topic, so i guess i can post it here?

 

W''insert the rest of the name here'', the medic.

Health 120, Hunger 130, Sanity 200.

 

+Starts with Healing Salve

+Runs a bit faster

+Improved healing, all healing items heal extra 10-15 hp

 

-Weaker attacks

-Has 'Post traumatic stress disorder'. Freaks out every time he hears an explotions, like a lightning or gunpowder going off and loses 25-30 sanity. Loses 50-70 sanity whenever a follower dies, like pigs, small birds and Chester. The multiplayer adds on to this one, loses 80-100 and sanity whenever a player dies. Also losing 20-30 sanity permanently, and can only restore it when that player gets revived with an Amulet/Touch stone or Meat effigy.

 

I guess he would be a little bit too op for single player mode. I mean, how often do we get followers like pigs or rabbitmen after day 30? So, discuss it.

"Support character"? This game is not going to turn into tf2, we don't need a Wedic.

Well, maybe i went a bit too far with the whole medic thing. But every charecter in this game so far has an ability that let's him/her survive on thier own. Wilson has a beard that keeps him warm, WX can upgrade himself and so on and so forth. I'm thinking of a charecter that could bring some sort of a small buff to his team while still remaining okay in single player mode.

Also, tf2 isn't the only game that has a healer/support class in it.

But maybe i'm wrong. Maybe what we have right now is enough? Willow can burn things in her inventory making her a walking campfire, Wolfgang and Wig can engage first to tank some of the damage from big monster And Wickerbottom can make tools and other thing for her team early on in the game, and use her books to grow recorces like gras and saplings druing winter.

I guess i played as Wilson too much and forgot what the other charecter can do.I apologise.

Klei have made it clear that any balance changes and content they decide to add to Don't Starve Together will NOT be added to Don't Starve singleplayer. Both multiplayer and singleplayer are two different things. You can't mix them both together.

Wendy seems to be kind of a support character, ready to deploy Abigail when necessary while staying away from fights due to her low attack damage. 

 

If we're talking LoL here, that makes WX-78 a late-game carry--his teammates protect him and give him gears until he's really bulky, then he can kinda tank and lay down heavy damage on bosses.

So, it is possible for them to add MP items and reblance characters just for MP mode.

But I still don't think they will make new specific MP characters anyways.
