What do you think the characters think if each other?

Recommended Posts

Wilson: Polite and gentlemanly, but prefers to be on his own, doing experiments and observing nature.

Gets along well with Wickerbottom, with whom he often shares notes and theories. Constantly waiting for

WX-78 to fall in battle so he can open him up and study his internal workings.

Wolfgang: Well aware of his own strength and often boastful, but all in all genuinely cares about

everyone else and views himself as a father figure. He gets along well with everyone except for

Wickerbottom who, as a librarian, can't stand his broken English and tendency to compare everything

around him to his own muscles.

Willow: Gets along fine with everyone, but desperately fights herself not to burn down the things

her friends build. She and Woodie like to hang out together and talk, and relate well to each other

because they both have rather destructive habits which they struggle to control.

Wendy: The loner of the bunch. She isn't mean and she's well taken care of, but she doesn't

like being around other people and her obsession with death and darkness make others more than

happy to leave her alone. Often sits out at her own fire pit alone at night, whispering into the

darkness as if she thinks there are people out there listening.

WX-78: WX doesn't like people, but acknowledges their "usefulness". Due to his neutral, unemotional

attitude and dull, calculative observations, he gets on everyone's nerves and the rest of the party views

him the same way he views them; "useful". He is particularly paranoid around Wilson and will often walk

away after saying "THREAT DETECTED" when he appears.

Wes: Doesn't talk much. He's a mime stuck in his role. Wes is to Don't Starve as Pyro is to

Team Fortress 2. Nobody knows anything about him; even Maxwell himself admits that Wes

is a mystery, and doesn't understand why Wes still acts like a Mime even after being released

from his curse.

Woodie: His ways are somewhat similar to a cross between Wendy and Willow, although he's

not quite as seclusive as Wendy. He's friendly and helps out as often as he can without "that" happening.

Maxwell: Smug, clever and on top of the world. Nobody likes him for what he's done, but he

knows every aspect of everything in their wilderness world. To reject his wisdom is foolish and to plot

against him is dangerous, so everybody grudgingly admits that he's the "head of the party."

Umm, you kinda just said 95% of what I said in my post...

Ok, fine.

I'll bet Woodie would like Willow to burn his log, ifyaknowwhatImean.

You brought that one on yourself. Now you must live with it.

Although I'm already sorry.

And I already said the willow/woodie thing that Misaki didn't see. Why don't you come up with something original, or at the very least make an attempt to cover up.

  1. It's not a word for word copy, there are some similarities but that's it.
  2. People can have similar interpretations of things.
  3. He was making a sexy sex joke about sex, not copying you.

Don't be so fast to call people out.

Writing the word "sex" without changing it to smex or ses?

well there's no doubt that people will have different ideas on this too considering there's no real proof of their relationships with each other

I haven't talked a lot about the relationships of most characters in my own personal story but for the ones I have:

Willow and Wilson are very close and have the sort of relationship that's mostly "I was forced to babysit this kid who constantly torments me" but has moments where Wilson acts as a sort of father to her and they have complete trust in each other (even though it took a long time for them to develop this kind of trust with Willow suffering from pyromania)

Wilson and Woodie get along for the most part but Wilson often finds himself becoming annoyed and drained after talking to him for long periods of time because Woodie always pokes fun at him and calls him stupid nicknames that Wilson can't stand (like calling him "Willy") but Woodie either doesn't notice or doesn't care and seems to really enjoy being around him

Willow and Wes get along very well since he's used to being around children and she also seems to be the only one other than Wolfgang who can really understand what he's trying to say and is generally the translator although the others are slowly learning

Wolfgang and Wes are also very close since they used to work with each other before being sent to the wilderness by Maxwell and Wolfgang is very protective of him; he never lets him leave the camp by himself in case something happens

Wilson is fascinated by WX-78 and constantly bothers it with questions about how it works and if he can open it up to do research on the science behind its creation

WX-78 obviously hates or at least dislikes being around everyone else and feels like hanging around the camp is holding it back from really accomplishing anything but seems to have a special hatred for Wilson and makes an active effort to avoid him

Wes and Wilson can only talk for so long before Wilson offends him, and Wes is kind of intimidated by him (but he's intimidated by almost everyone so that's not really special) so they're pretty distant except for when they have to interact with each other because of Willow forcing Wes to go with Wilson to gather materials

Woodie apparently gets along with everyone but has no real close relationships

Wilson is jealous of Wickerbottom's knowledge of science and thinks she's kind of a prude for always unnecessarily using scientific terms for creatures and plants; these negative feelings are mutual as she sees Wilson as uncivilized and a hypocrite

there's a lot more depth to most of the relationships but I don't feel like writing an essay on something pretty much no one cares about whoops

Klei should put those in as Examine quotes in the code, to trick people into thinking they're actually going to do co-op.

Welcome to the forums! Which sentence are you talking about?

Thanks, this one "Yeah, I made it up; but good though right"

Is it bad if i thought that was real for a second? (Those character quotes)

The only ones i don't agree with are the Woody and Willow relationship, I always imagined that Woodie isn't really protective of his trees (he is a lumber jack after all) and that he would give Willow his spare wood so she can burn it.

Atleast that's how i have always imagined it

Yeah , you got a point; but I think that Woodie would want to chop down a tree in its prime than a burned husk.

I would imagine that Woody isnt really protective of his trees but doesnt want someone to burn his trees.

I know this is for the game being balanced and fun but he seems to have no problem burning food in campfires, or eating the wood as a were beaver.

Still he does seem like the kind of guy who would think that way.

To be honest, food is not wood. But you are right, both of those are mostly for gameplay reasons.

Sorry for double post, but you meant wood didnt you instead of food?

No, when you are the Were-Beaver you can eat wood (and other things) to keep the wood meter up so you can stay in Were beaver form
