What has been your record for most deaths in the same world?

By the question above, I mean how many times have you died in a world and then resurrected(plus the time you then died and actually lost your world, unless you haven't.)

For me, I died in the same world 4 times.  I die on day 18, get resurrected, die 5 days later, get resurrected,die again 6 days later, then die AGAIN 5 days later, then die again 2 days later(from a frog) and lose my world. I went through a good deal of touchstones/effigies

No. Alt tabbing doesn't kill you nor save you from death. so that should be obvious.

 

 

anyway, I'd say once or twice is my record. For some reason, I just don't tend to use meat effs.

I can understand no meat effigies, for me it's more about the experience of playing not getting to a ridiculous number of days. After doing most everything, from AM to getting two houndius shootius...es, it's all about the journey.

That being said my max number of deaths is a shameful... 5! D: I tore through those effigies while diving in the caves. I'm an embarrassment. But darn those blasted worms!

There was once I took Willow and played her world in a non-serious just to check her out. Found 3 touchstones, survived past first Winter, then decided to die to unlock the rest of the characters (the update back then reset everything for some reason). Put on my Red Amulet (now Life Giving Amulet) and went to suicide.

Like 7 or 8 times on my first days with the game. Once you know what resurrect's you it's not that hard surviving.

On my longest world which lasted about 600 days I dies more than 10 times, most of them for doing silly things like tanking a spider queen with nothing.

When caves first came out and you died inside them you'd just plop back down outside the caves so I'd take enough for a few torches and maybe some berries and just run around exploring and kiting cave spiders. So the most I've died in a world is probably like 20 or something like that due to how often I'd just run in and end up dying because I was basically suicide running down in the caves.

 

Otherwise it's probably about four to six, I don't use meat effigies at all but for whatever reason I'm lucky with touchstones and getting amulets from graves. Really I don't tend to count since I'd prefer not to die at all.

I've never built a meat effigy and I've never seen more than two touchstones in a world so I guess my default answer is three.  However, I can't say for sure I've ever died three times.  For sure I've died before activating one or more touchstones.  For sure I've used two touchstones.  But usually by the time I've used both of them I'm pretty much set for long-term residence and/or getting so bored it's time to call it quits.
