23rd
Than don't read it,its simple as that .....You're a horse. Also, your judgmental ellipses are completely unnecessary! EDIT: I was so excited to make this terrible joke that I didn't realize someone else made it. The shame. The shame! I'VE FIXED EVERYTHING. Leaven
When I first discovered this game I started making my own notes to help me as I discovered things. I actually went to start a wiki and found one already made. After editing for awhile I started to wonder if Klei would be bothered by us revealing all their secrets, since the point of the game was that there is no help. During a chat with Kevin however he mentioned that sometimes even they reference the wiki because it's faster than other methods of finding out info that someone else designed. I did find out some things on the wiki that I wish I hadn't however. HoneyHam
It's okay to look up some things, like on Sip's playthrough of Don't Starve, he was "playing it safe," and he thought the eye bone was something bad and did not pick it up for a long time. It's sensible to wiki stuff like that so you don't miss out, but just looking up everything that exists ingame makes it boring. Grumpy
It's okay to look up some things, like on Sip's playthrough of Don't Starve, he was "playing it safe," and he thought the eye bone was something bad and did not pick it up for a long time.I did the same thing when I first found an eyebone. Then when Chester showed up I thought it was going to attack me so I tried to kill it. Took me a while to realize it was friendly. To this day I've never harvested a spiky tree or bush in the swamp. They just look too dangerous to me. I did eventually look them up on the wiki to see what might happen. Ortorin
I was looking through the wiki before I even played the game. I heard about the game on some top 10 list or something and decided to look into it. After seeing the trailer on the main site, I ended up at the wiki so I could get a better idea of what the game was about. I read a good hundred or more pages at that point because this game just seemed that interesting. Little did I know that reading all of that would ruin a lot of the game play for me. /sigh Maybe this should have been the OP. xD Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/29292-i-wish-i-never-read-the-wiki/page/2/#findComment-360532 Share on other sites
goldfish911
You've obviously never tried playing Dwarf Fortress without a wiki.Actually, I have. I had to check the wiki, as all the built-in help taught me was how to dig and chop trees. The Letter W
I admit, I don't use the wiki for gameplay as much as I do for drawing ref. I just end up reading the pages anyway though c| Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/29292-i-wish-i-never-read-the-wiki/page/2/#findComment-360641 Share on other sites
