Minigun shooting hound teeth!

Recommended Posts

Why stop at a minigun? Fallout 3 has a nuke launcher called the Fat Man, we should have a nuke launcher too! The crafting recipe for nukes would have to be something hard to make though. Like.. 2 berries, 1 nitre, 1 pinecone. Yeah, keepin' it balanced.

1 teeth taking 5 HP

1 shot per second

Recepie example:

8 sticks

8 hound teeth

8 ropes

4 living logs

What the hell to do with 400-500 teeth anyway?

Alright, I'll go ahead and admit this could fit with the style of the game if done right (fitting the time period tech-wise) and is somewhat balanced seeming (I might even go so far as to say 5 damage per tooth isn't enough. Individual Spiders have 100 health each), at least in part due to the necessity of Living Logs. It would have to be completely stationary, the firing speed of each tooth adjusted from 1 second to 3 or more, require manual use and take way more hard-to-acquire materials, perhaps a few that are non-renewable at that (Gears and Thulecite come to mind). Even with all this tweaking the idea is very out there.

A bit of friendly advice, you have got to put more thought and description into your ideas. All you said was "it would be nice!" without giving us any idea of what the hell you were talking about beyond a Minigun. I, like many people here I would assume, just thought you initially meant a modern weapon like the M134 or something similar, which is as laughable an idea as people here are treating it.

Yeah but he thinks getting 500 teeth after the last update is easy. Oh the lolz

Right there with you on that one. Even if I'm not making Blow Darts as frequently as I can during Winter those things get spent quickly in making Tooth Traps and the Sewing Kits I'm going through every 15 - 25 days or so. The only time I'm not wearing the Tam on everyone but Maxwell is when I'm locked in combat. I often find myself traveling to Walrus Camps for the sole purpose of getting more Hounds' Teeth in the second and third Winters.

As Teo suggested, prior to the latest update you could spend a single Winter near a MacTusk camp and come away with three full stacks of teeth.  However, Klei fixed that and now you'll get less than 20 per camp.  It's much more balanced now but it also renders the idea of a tooth-firing minigun somewhat pointless.

Yeah, if it were steam powered, clockwork powered, or even mad science electricity powered, it could potentially fit into the game. But, I don't really see how it would fit the gameplay. If you could carry it around, it would just be another ranged weapon like blow darts. I guess it would be different because it would be more expensive to craft initially but ammo would be less expensive, but would that really warrant its inclusive in the game? On the other hand, if it was stationary, wouldn't that be very similar to the houndius shootius? It would just be less expensive and less effective, I guess.
