Winterometer gives you a reading of ambient temp. Like real seasons, sometimes it's cool in the summer and fairly warm in the winter, especially on the transition days.

Yea, imo, the best way to see if winter is coming in a day or two is just pay attention to how long days and nights are, nearing winter, days start getting really short and nights get really long

There is a day, I think 2 days on summer that makes Winter O' Meter show below half temp reading. That's the sign of Winter is coming.

For what purpose? The winter-o-meter only tells you what the current temperature is, it doesn't control it.

You can. Put a fire next to it and the winterometer gives a higher reading.

Oh, didn't know it actually measured the temperature around its immediate vicinity. That's pretty cool.

I think if you just waited one more day you wouldn't have made this post at all. Because summer would have arrived.

It's just a thermometer (and the Rainometer is a Barometer.) Why I stopped relying on it (and paid attention to the elapsed days as a guide) a long time back,.
