Changes

  • Ghosts should be able to pass through the arena barrier again.
  • Updated Celestial Scion targeting.
  • Updated sounds and strings.
  • Forgot to mention in our last update:  Mushy Cake now gives full grogginess immunity for a short period of time.  This is in addition to the original grogginess resistance buff, which still lasts the original duration.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug where you could sometimes see but not target Shadow Creatures when you have forced insanity and the upgraded Enlightened Crown effects at the same time.
  • Fixed crash during Celestial Scion battle.
  • Fixed Celestial Scion’s ground attack failing at the edge of the arena.
  • Fixed Celestial Scions’s special attack overlays not showing up on clients sometimes.
  • Fixed bug with Moongleams and Infused Moon Shards not spawning during Moon Storms.
  • Fixed bug where Pearl’s buildings could be moved to non-permanent tiles.

Has anyone figured out how/if you're able to dispell the Planar creep corruption the phase places down?
Or is it a matter of killing the boss before the arena becomes inhospitable?

Also, it would seem the boss, and the Warbot's legs can openly go out of bounds if you place docks around the island.

dont want to revive the thread from the previous update but i really like the changes made to the pearl rehoming situation - super excited to have her move in at my fishing area next to my base :glee:

super excited about some of the stuff going on story-wise in this update, im so excited to see how this arc gets wrapped up! keep up the good work, im sure theres a lot of finetuning ahead of us before it drops

Unfortunately had to shrink the image size of this 467 frame APNG to fit Imgur's 20mb upload limit. A GIF of this animation introduces artifacts (Klei Forums doesn't support APNGs/WEBPs uploads & Imgur doesn't support WEBPs).

The Celestial Scion's death sequence got updated this patch; it's now 504 frames long (up from 467 frames of last update) and still unimplemented. 

This update also removed Wagstaff's still frames from the death sequence and a replacement animation for Wagstaff was not included.  In place of that I chose the "stuck in Ewecus Mucus" animation for Wagstaff as a stand-in. 

To reiterate, Wagstaff won't look like this in the final death sequence.  What's shown below for Wagstaff is a stand-in I chose for him as the proper animation wasn't included in the patch.

As Klei Forums doesn't support APNG/WEBP uploads, I had to shrunk the image size again to fit Imgur's 20mb APNG upload limit.  So, the APNG is unfortunately tiny again.

if the corruption wasnt PERMANENT this wouldnt be a damn problem. they didnt change TAHT tho becuase of course they didnt

Can you please change Wagstaff from stealing Pearl’s island, we did all her quests helping her out and making it look nicer and now she looses it.

A suggestion would be to make another island in the ocean for Wagstaff to spawn on and use to fight the new boss.

I was upset of her being kicked out at first but being able to move her wherever I want is actually going to be really cool. I am glad they went on that decision!

Yeah but… the thing about being able to move Pearl is that it takes away one of the needs to build a boat and set sail to a new locations. Which is kinda sad cause Pearls Island was one of the unique on the ocean locations that wasn’t a Boss Fight that I enjoyed sailing back & forth to.

What Klei has done here is catered to the Mega-Baser/Base Sitting Mindset: No Need to ever go visit Pearl when we can just bring Pearl back and put her in base. Even if it’s a late game ability.

In all fairness, I would much rather Klei incentivize going out into the ocean with new oceanic content as it still feels barren and mostly useless space for me.

If this encourages them to give ocean content another look, I'm all for it.

I also may have another incentive for wanting to be able to move Pearl.

Nah, i like the ability to have her live in my base.
