The new Night Berry filter causes eyestrain

Recommended Posts

First off I want to clarify how bad I feel starting off with a downtrodden post. I promise I'm writing something really sweet and positive after this. But this is more important.

There's a new filter for Night Berries that got added today that wasn't in the beta for testing, and honestly, the new filter is actively harmful for me to look at.
I loved night berries, but they're unusable like this. I've always had really sensitive eyes. Or eye I guess, missing one. I'd like to not loose my other one LOL
But actually, I'll spoiler the new one. It's crazy bright and saturated...

I'm really hoping this can be either toned down or reverted. I really liked using this item, I hope I'm not going to be pushed away from it over this.

I don't want to sound rude but how did they managed to create a even worse version of moggles effect?

Not only that but did the berries really needed a (indirect) nerf? It was already getting overshadowed by bearger bin since it didn't had any crockpot recipes.

The moggles effect atleast can be controlled by how insane you are but man this is something else

A similar thing can be accomplished with the nightberry, albeit this still isn't very preferrable compared to just, well, not having an extremely strong filter.

Would it be possible to revert it with a client mod(if there was one made) in the meantime?

Blue light filters exist for a reason and half of the visual strain in this game is because of all the blue they use in filters (Lunacy and Moonstorms I'm looking at you) but this one takes the cake. I'm not photosensitive and looking at these pictures for just a second is burning my eyes. I liked the Nightberries but the physical pain does not justify it at all. Not using this.

I know there are mods for this for the moggles and for WX-78's moggle module (mogdule if you will), so it should be possible here too.

Personally, I can tolerate this colorcube but I see why other people would have difficulty with it.

Wow, that's some acid! Truly bizarre last-minute change, even the trailer demonstrating this feature shows the previous overlay. Unless it's some weird bug, such things should really be tested for accessibility before implementing without any warning.

I noticed. But I'm still not really hoping to risk having a seizure or some other eye-related problem any chance I'm not insane. It can still be toned down, ideally.

What? Did they change it last minute? It looked cool before, but it still gave me a headache even before, now then... I usually use mods to disable these filters and insanity, at least it's not something I'm going to interact with much due to the scarcity of these fruits but still
