What were your most weird rollbacks?

Recommended Posts

I'm not a fan of rollbacks in survival games, but if some random burns my base, and I can't kill it before because it's not a pvp server what I suppose to do?

Whatever... I'm here to ask you what were the most random, weird, or unique excuses for a rollback that happened to you.

:wickerbottomthanks:

Just recently I placed a Dwarf Star a little too close to my garden. All the plants went up in flames. I left the water pale in the caves during the summer so I just watched it all burn. No big deal it's just plants, I can replant. Then the nearby Above-Average Tree started to smolder, I have a mod that makes it untargetable (so it doesnt interfere with my clicking of other things). That went up in flames, While it was burning the rest of my base started to smolder. I just sat and watched everything burn to the ground all because I put the Dwarf Star a little too close to my crops.
I rolled back and brought my Watering Can up from the Caves after laughing it off.

I don't typically call rollback votes, but some of the more interesting ones I've seen succeed are because deerclops smashed an empty birdcage, because all 6 players jumped on a boat while running from moslings and died, because someone was afk then starved to death, and because they forgot to bring walls to dragonfly and didn't feel like walking back.

A few years ago, back when you could reset Klaus's loot with rollback, I was playing with not so experienced players, but they learned about this mechanic so they kept resetting the loot since most we were getting was garbage.

The thing is at one point we opened the bundles and one of them had a Krampus sack. Most of them didn't know what it was, so they said "garbage" and passed the vote to rollback again, despite my friend and I typing non stop trying to explain.

It had very recently turned spring and I figured that I should really get a lightning rod set up in my base. so I get some gold out of my chest and started making the lightning rod. Literally AS I was in the process of making it lightning struck my alchemy engine and set everything on fire.
I decided to rolled back because this felt really unfair and when I did the EXACT same thing happened again. I had to rollback twice because apparently the game decided to save right when I was going to the chests.

Most of my rollbacks happen on boats, I just want to squeeeeeeze through these stacks and- Ah, a leak. I don't craft boat repair kits usually as the ocean is so empty it's easy to avoid hitting anything unless I'm being stupid. Unfortunately I'm very prone to sudden stupidity.

Had a fairly recent one where a base was burned down and destroyed by a Deerclops on fire, someone hit Deerclops with a torch cos their lantern ran out while rushing back to base cos a group of people didn't go far enough away from base.

I was the person that set deerclops on fire cos my lantern ran out rushing to base. I didn't expect the fire on deerclops to spread to the stuff on the floor.

Whats funny is when we rolled back and deerclops was spawning again, we didn't need to move out of base cos Deerclops was spawning on someone else... Far away.

One time i was returning from the fight i had with klaus but the way home passed right through a meteor fall biome. Well, you should already know what happened. It was extremely funny and tragic that 3 meteors fell on my head. I don't think I need to say that I resorted to rollback because of this death

Just happened to me. Day 90. It turns to winter. No indication, Deerclops shows up, I don't realize this since there was no "Guuuuuuuurrrrhhhhhhh" noise before hand for some reason" I come back later and see Deerclops with a big ol smile on his face and my entire base obliterated. Like, bro at least warn me. :c
