Paribean Posted August 4, 2022 Share Posted August 4, 2022 So what does this actually mean ? For context: In Wickerbottom´s short it is revealed that Willow´s working for Maxwell and or Them. At the end a terrorbeak appears and gives Willow this message. I first thought this was referring to the voxola factory fire, but in Winona´s short it is shown that the fire is caused by an explosion from the portal Wagstaff built and no other character we know besides Wickerbottom, Winona and Wagstaff have disappeared in a fire. Also this guy on the left looks like a young Woodie, so maybe he got the curse from the library ? In fact we only know about the Wickerbottom fire because of the research Winona was doing to find her sister. I dont think the timelines match up, unless they retcon. Personally I want to DEEP lore with both Wilson and Maxwells reworks- And if Wilson is going to get any kind of powers from having sit on the Nightmare throne: I want his short to reveal that. We already know how he ends up in the constant and how Charlie wonders up on him later and frees him returning him to the world of DST. BUT, Im thinking the note is not referring to the next character, but rather is building up what will happen in Maxwells short. His betrayal of Willow might be the beginning of Maxwells short and then the rest of it hopefully will shed light on why he was capturing survivors and for what purpose. Im sure we will also get more information on "them" since they are the ones controlling Max at this point in time and weve already seen him escape the throne. It will most likely transition at the end to Charlie since she is the one currently controlled by "them". I mean the more likely option is it a teaser for brand new character, you wouldn't one more to go at the end of the short just for it to be reveal later that Willow was the last one all along. So my theory is Maxwell make deal with Willow that she do these thing in exchange for her not going to jail or something along those line and Maxwell doesn't lie so it would be werid for the last one to be Willow since he still have to keep his end of the deal. I was going to write this. Also this would make sense why Lucy is a red fire axe. But I could not find anything related to being a firefighter from his quotes. So that shows he is probably not him.
